Mintara Restaurant

If you are looking for a place to eat after hiking around Burnaby Mountain or playing frisbee on the lawns, you used to be able to visit Horizons Restaurant. Unfortunately, it closed in early 2020, but a new restaurant has since taken its place. It’s called Mintara.

Mintara Restaurant offers a fusion of flavours from around the world. The restaurant also boasts some of the Lower Mainland’s finest views. It’s a beautiful and elegant venue great for lunch and dinner. As of the spring of 2024, Mintara is open from Thursdays to Sundays each week.

Photo Tips for Burnaby Mountain

TIP #1: If you plan to take photos, Burnaby Mountain can be a good place to catch the sun setting over Vancouver. You’ll want to get there early in the day though if you want day pictures of the city in the sun. Plan to use a zoom lens.

TIP #2: The North Shore mountains will be in the sun most of the day, but not so much in the late afternoon in summer. There are lots of great backgrounds for family pictures on Burnaby Mountain.
