Planted Expo Vancouver is Canada’s largest plant-based event. It features presentations and over 200 vegan edible and lifestyle exhibitors.
The exhibition took place at the Vancouver Convention Centre on June 1st and 2nd in 2024. Admission cost about $23. The event is not happening in 2025.
Other events that happen around this time of year are the West Van Community Cultural Fest, Pitt Meadows Day, and the Shipyards Night Market in North Vancouver (all of which are free to attend). Playland is also open at this time, and there are baseball games at Nat Bailey Stadium with the Vancouver Canadians Baseball. Another awesome event, if you have young children, is Kids Up Front More than a Movie which is a fundraising event with the BC Lions, Vancouver Whitecaps, a movie and more at BC Place Stadium!
TIP: If you want to buy fresh organic produce and support local businesses, visit one of the Lower Mainland’s Farmers Markets. There are great ones in West Vancouver, Burnaby and all over the place. There is a new one at the Amazing Brentwood Mall this year too.

Planted Expo Vegan Event in Vancouver
Planted Expo Vancouver is Canada’s premier plant-based event. The family-friendly expo is all about health and wellness with a special focus on vegan lifestyles. The two-day event brings the plant-based community together with vegan businesses and expert speakers from across the globe. If you’re looking to learn about the benefits of plant-based diets, or discover new vegan products for yourself, this is an event you won’t want to miss!
The annual expo includes over 200 exhibitors selling everything from natural beauty products and health services to vegan snacks and beverages. There are lots of vendor stalls to browse and tasty samples to try. Food trucks are also on site. Planted Expo Vancouver features inspirational and educational talks throughout the event as well. There’s also a Kid Zone with special activities to keep children entertained.
When and Where
Planted Expo Vancouver ran on the Saturday and Sunday of June 1st and 2nd in 2024. Hours on both days were from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. The event won’t be happening in Vancouver in 2025, but it might again in 2026. Exact details, however, are to be confirmed.
The event took place in the West Building of the Vancouver Convention Centre. The venue is located at 1055 Canada Place. It’s right along the waterfront with stunning views of Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains. If the weather’s nice, be sure to walk or cycle on the Coal Harbour Seawall before or after attending the event! It’s a beautiful area!
Planted Expo Admission Prices
Ticket prices vary depending on your age and how many days you attend. Admission to Planted Expo Vancouver in 2024 cost the following (including taxes):
- Adults (ages 19 to 64) – $23.07 for one day or $28.67 for both days
- Seniors (ages 65 and over) and Youth (ages 12 to 18) – $17.49 for one day or $23.07 for both days
- Children (ages 12 and under) – Free on both days
During 2023’s event, packs of four tickets for each day were also available for $60, meaning that four people could get in for the price of three adults. That didn’t appear to be an option in 2024.

Speaker Schedule
There were over 12 presentations to enjoy over the weekend in June, 2024. The talks took place throughout each day and covered a wide range of topics. You could expect to learn all about plant-based nutrition from Olympic athletes, chefs, doctors, nutritionists and other experts.

Tips & Advice
Below are some suggestions to help you make the most of your Planted Expo Vancouver experience.
TIP #1: Don’t eat too much before you go to Planted Expo Vancouver! It’s best to attend with an appetite. There are so many tasty samples to try and food products to buy!
TIP #2: If you don’t have all day to explore the expo, check out the Planted Expo Map from the exhibition in 2023 to get an idea of what 2024’s event would look like. The map (to be confirmed for 2024’s exhibition) included all exhibitor locations and other zones of the expo so you wouldn’t waste any time. You could head straight to the places you wanted to visit!
TIP #3: Paid parking is available on site. However, the venue is also easy to get to using public transit. The Vancouver Convention Centre is just a few blocks from both the Burrard and Waterfront SkyTrain stations.
TIP #4: You don’t have to be vegan or even vegetarian to enjoy this event. Everyone can learn about the benefits of eating more plant-based meals and vegan lifestyles. Got friends who are vegan?
