Canada Cup Softball Championships

Two years ago, the main part of the tournament started on Canada Day. That’s when Canada played its first two games against New Zealand and Mexico. Canada then played the Philippines on July 2nd, Israel on the 3rd, and Hong Kong on the 4th.

In 2025 the Canada Cup Women’s International Softball Championship featured four other divisions besides the senior international games. They included Futures Select (U19), Futures Gold (U19), Showcase Select (17U) and Showcase Gold (17U). As many as 1,700 female athletes at club and national levels participated in the tournament.

In 2025, the two “Select” divisions played their tournament games from July 4th to July 7th. The “Gold” divisions played from July 4th to 13th, the same as the senior teams.

Playoff Round

At the end of round robin play, the top four finishers in each “pool” advance to the knockout round.

As well, there are consolation games for the teams not in medal contention. The four teams that don’t make the quarterfinals play in a consolation bracket that stretches over the three playoff days. So, each team is guaranteed to play at least twice more after the round robin stage.
