February 2026 Highlights
February is generally a quieter month than average with respect to festivals and events. It’s when both Valentine’s Day and the Family Day Long Weekend happen, however, and this year Lunar New Year takes place in mid-February too.
Events in February include the Just for Laughs Comedy Fest and Earlybird RV Show. The PuSh Performing Arts Festival and Dine Out Vancouver Festival both start in January, but also continue into February.
Other highlights of the month include FAN EXPO Vancouver and the Fort Langley Historic Half Marathon. At Capilano Suspension Bridge there is Love Lights. It features beautiful Valentine’s Day-themed decorations and lights at night.
With Lunar New Year, there is the Chinese New Year Parade, Vancouver Lunarfest and other events. For people who like live theatre, there are shows with Vancouver Mysteries, Vancouver Opera, Metro Theatre, Presentation House Theatre, Gateway Theatre, First Impressions Theatre, The Improv Centre and various other venues.
Other fun activities to do in February are outdoor adventure games with Vancouver Mysteries, walking tours with Forbidden Vancouver, and virtual reality games at Zero Latency. There are also snow sports at Lower Mainland Ski Hills. Rainy Day Activities are also usually popular in January.
