Canada Day in Delta is celebrated at three different venues featuring a full day of music, fun, a parade and fireworks for all ages.

Delta’s Canada Day celebration brings the community together for a full day of free, family-friendly fun. From morning ceremonies to evening fireworks, the annual series of events offers something for everyone. People can enjoy activities for all ages, live entertainment, food and patriotic spirit throughout the day.

 

When and Where is Canada Day in Delta

Canada Day takes place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at three key locations in Delta: Diefenbaker Park, Kirkland House, and Chalmers Park. Diefenbaker Park is located at 5579 1st Avenue. Kirkland House, meanwhile, is a heritage site at 4140 Arthur Drive. Chalmers Park’s address is 11400 76A Avenue.

Each location offers a unique part of the day’s celebrations starting in the morning and ending with fireworks at night.

What to Expect

Canada Day in Delta is a festive, full-day event that brings neighbours, families and friends together.

Celebrations at Diefenbaker Park happen from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. The day begins with official ceremonies and a cake cutting hosted by the Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club.

The event at Kirkland House runs from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. There families can enjoy a relaxed afternoon with children’s activities and general festivities for all ages.

The evening event takes place at Chalmers Park from 3:00 to 10:00 pm. Celebrations at this location are hosted by the City of Delta and North Delta Lions Club.

A community parade kicks off at 3:00 pm. The parade starts at the corner of 114th Street and 82nd Avenue in North Delta. From there it goes west to 112th Street before heading south and ending at Burnsview Secondary School at 7658 112th Street.

Attendees of the final event can enjoy the festival with food vendors, children’s entertainment, roaming performers and live music. The official ceremonies start at 4:00 pm and the night ends with a live concert at 9:00 pm followed by a fireworks display at 10:00 pm.
