Flats Fest Community Event in Vancouver
Flats Fest is a community festival presented by Low Tide Properties. It’s a one-day event that debuted in 2023 and featured again last year. It’s outdoors, free to attend and includes a variety of things to do for all ages. Exact dates and details for the event in 2025 are to be confirmed.
Last year’s edition of Flats Fest featured a couple of stages with live music and other types of performances. A few food trucks are usually on-site, and there are also alcoholic beverages for adults to purchase at the event’s beer garden.
Flats Fest has an artisan market with vendors selling candles, jewellery and other products. There’s also an Emily Carr University Marketplace featuring student art. The event’s Innovation Zone has immersive virtual experiences, along with other technology and games to check out. For kids, there’s a bouncy castle, stations with face painting and balloon art, and more.
Date and Location
The first Flats Fest event took place on August 26th in 2023. It ran from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Flats Fest returned last year and happened on Saturday, September 7th. However, in contrast to the event from two years ago, 2024’s event ran from noon until 9:00 pm. That was five hours longer than in 2023!
Flats Fest took place last year outside a Low Tide Properties building at 565 Great Northern Way in Vancouver. The location for 2025 will likely be the same but that’s to be determined.
Entertainment Schedule
There are two stages with live entertainment at Flats Fest. One stage features live music, while the other features performances intended for children. The 2024 entertainment schedule is below. 2025’s schedule may look similar, but that’s to be confirmed.
Main Stage
The Main Stage at the Flats Fest last year included the following performances:

Kids’ Zone
Children were able to watch the following performances on the Kids’ Zone Stage in 2024:

- 2:00 pm – Robin Reddy Show
- 3:00 pm – Madrigal Sisters
- 3:30 pm – Yoyo Performance by Terence Wong

- 5:00 pm – Yuki the Juggler
- 6:00 pm – Yoyo Workshop with Terence Wong
- 7:00 pm – Andy the Musical Scientist
