Flats Fest is a free summer event in Vancouver. The festival features live entertainment, market vendors, food trucks and other family-friendly activities.
In 2024 Flats Fest takes place on September 7th. Other events that same weekend include the Polish Festival Vancouver – music, dancing and family-friendly activities at the Shipyards in North Vancouver., Car Free Day in Port Coquitlam, and a Carnavalito Latin festival in Langley (all of which have free admission). Flats Fest Community Event in Vancouver
Flats Fest is a community festival presented by Low Tide Properties. It’s a one-day event that debuted in 2023 and is back again in 2024. It’s outdoors, free to attend and includes a variety of things to do for all ages.
This year’s edition of Flats Fest features a couple of stages with live music and other types of performances. A few food trucks are on site, and there are also alcoholic beverages for adults to purchase at the event’s beer garden.
Flats Fest has an artisan market with vendors selling candles, jewellery and other products. There’s also an Emily Carr University Marketplace featuring student art. The event’s Innovation Zone has immersive virtual experiences, along with other technology and games to check out. For kids, there’s a bouncy castle, stations with face painting and balloon art, and more.
Date and Location
The first Flats Fest event took place on August 26th in 2023. It ran from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. In 2024, Flats Fest returns on Saturday, September 7th. This year’s event, however, runs from noon until 9:00 pm. That’s five hours longer than last year!
Flats Fest takes place outside a Low Tide Properties building at 565 Great Northern Way in Vancouver.

There are two stages with live entertainment at Flats Fest. One stage features live music, while the other features performances intended for children. The 2024 entertainment schedule is below.
