Just for Laughs Vancouver

Just for Laughs Vancouver is a comedy festival featuring live performances at various venues in Vancouver in February. The shows are fabulous, and so funny!

In 2024 the festival ran from February 15th to 24th. Some of the comedian headliners included Bill Burr, Brett Goldstein, Ronny Chieng and Wanda Sykes. Others were Ben Schwartz, Marlon Wayans, Bassem Youssef, Kathy Griffin, Nicole Byer, Bob the Drag Queen and many more.

Just for Laughs Vancouver

Formerly known as the Just for Laughs Northwest Comedy Fest, Just for Laughs Vancouver usually takes place in the second half of February.

JFL Comedy Fest ticket prices can typically start as low as about $10 although the most popular tickets cost much more. Some events are for ages 19+ and others are for all ages.

If you like comedy, this is a festival you won’t want to miss! The shows are hilarious!

Thursday, February 15th, 2024

Aaron Chen – award-winning comedian from Australia who performs at festivals, has feature roles and appears on a panel show. He performed at The Biltmore at 7:00 pm. Tickets cost as low as $25 each.

Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life – writer, star and co-executive producer of Ted Lasso, Brett Goldstein is a British creative who also hosts an award-winning podcast. He performed at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre that day. The show kicked off at 7:00 pm and tickets started at about $100 each.

Marlon Wayans – star of White Chicks and Scary Movie, this actor, writer and stand-up comedian visited Vancouver with a show at the Vogue Theatre. Tickets cost as low as about $50 each and the show started at 7:00 pm.

Jessica Kirson – the actress, producer and writer is also a hilarious performer. She puts on funny shows for all ages and brings different generations together. Her show took place at the Vogue Theatre at 7:00 pm. Tickets started at about $45 each.
Lewberger – a three-man comedy band from Los Angeles featuring Keith Habersberger, Alex Lewis and Hughie Stone Fish. They play funny original songs and also host a podcast. The band’s Vancouver show was at 7:00 pm at the Rio Theatre. Tickets started at about $50.

Monday, February 19th, 2024

Justin Willman Magic for Humans in Person Tour – best known for his Magic For Humans show on Netflix, Justin Willman blended magic and comedy into a show at the Vogue Theatre. Tickets started at about $40 and the performance began at 7:00 pm.
Crumby Comedy – several standup comics performed in a show run by Jake Spencer, Megan Milton and Bradley Sakawski. You could expect sound effects, elaborate lighting, background music and more. The show took place at Portland Craft at 8:00 pm, and tickets cost about $16 per person.

Chris Fleming – named one of Variety’s Ten Comics to Watch, Chris Fleming has appeared in several television shows and specials. His show started at 7:00 pm at the Rio Theatre. Tickets were available for around $50 each.

Bassem Youssef: The Middle Beast Tour – a solo comedian who uses jokes to share stories about when he was a heart surgeon in Egypt, along with how he became the host of his huge satire show. This day’s performance was held at the Vogue Theatre at 9:30 pm. Tickets ranged from about $50 to $65 each.
