Vancouver’s Study and Go Abroad Fair

Study and Go Abroad/SchoolFinder Fairs take place in a few Canadian cities. Last year the fair visited Vancouver in March and October. In 2026, it takes place on February 28th. It will likely happen again later in the year too, although exact details about the fall session are to be confirmed.

The fair is mainly for prospective post-secondary students. Lots of parents go too. At the event, representatives from universities and colleges from around the world, including Canada, are present. Most of the exhibitors, however, are international.

The fair is for students seeking undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. It’s a great place to start if you’re currently in high school or university and interested in furthering your education, and want to learn about options and opportunities. Attending the fair is also where you’ll find information about working abroad, including international internships and volunteering opportunities. You can meet and talk to people from different institutions, and there are also seminars covering various topics.

Tips & Advice

The following suggestions are good to know before attending the Study and Go Abroad university and college fair.

TIP #1: The event can be overwhelming with the number of people and exhibitors. Think of any questions you have before you go. Write them down and take them with you. That way, you won’t forget to ask anything important.

TIP #2: When you arrive, be sure to get a copy of the Fair Guide. It provides details about the various exhibitors.

TIP #3: If you already have your resume, portfolio or transcripts ready, feel free to take them with you as well. You can show your documents to university representatives and maybe even get some advice.

TIP #4: Ask for the business cards and contact details of the representatives you meet. That way, if you think of more questions later, you can still ask them via e-mail.

TIP #5: The P2B Bistro & Bar is a nice restaurant at the Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel (where the college fair takes place in 2026). If you’re hungry before or after the event, check it out. Happy Hour runs daily from 3:00 until 6:00 pm.
