Fashion Festivals in Vancouver
Fashion festivals take place all over the world and are a fun way to see what’s trending and for designers and models to express themselves.
Vancouver hosts a number of fashion events each year. Below are some of the biggest in the city.
Vancouver Fashion Week
Vancouver Fashion Week takes place twice a year, in both the spring and fall. The event showcases a mix of emerging and established fashion talent from around the world. In 2026 the first week is from April 8th to 12th. Last year the fall edition took place from October 15th to 19th.
2026 is the 25th anniversary of Vancouver Fashion Week. Fashion producer Jamal Abdourahman founded it and it is one of the longest-running events of its kind in Canada.
The festival usually features works from over 40 designers, many of whom provide designs for both the spring and fall festivals. Events take place at David Lam Hall, located at 50 East Pender Street.
The 2026 Vancouver Fashion Week in April takes place in conjuction with Kids Fashion Week. Based on previous years, the second event will likely happen in October 2026. See our article about Vancouver Fashion Week to learn more.

Vancouver Independent Fashion Flair
Vancouver Independent Fashion Flair (or VIFF, not to be confused with the Vancouver International Film Festival) hosts the Elevate Fashion Festival. Elevate used to be a big one-day celebration in the summer, but now there are multiple Elevate events throughout the year.
In 2026 there was an Elevate Fashion Festival event on March 28th at Vesper Lounge in downtown Vancouver. Later in the year there is the “May The “F” Be With You – Pink & White – Star Wars Edition” on May 23rd at the Annacis Island Event Centre. Further 2026 dates are to be confirmed.
Elevate features the work of several local designers, with dozens of models on the runway. There are also DJs playing tunes, a Canadian-Filipino art exhibition, pop-up designer stores, and more to explore.
At the March 2025 event, guests could buy an afternoon pass (noon to 5:00 pm) for $50 or an evening pass (6:00 pm to 3:00 am) for $60.
VIFF Fashion spotlights local designers, brands, and creatives. The mission of the organization is to celebrate and showcase the talent of local artists, provide them with global exposure, and foster a vibrant local fashion and art community. VIFF is committed to creating memorable fashion events that push the boundaries of conventional showcases.

Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week
A multi-day event held at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week (VIFW) happens from November 18th to 21st in 2026. Of all fashion events in the Lower Mainland, this one is arguably the most powerful and culturally significant.
VIFW first happened in 2017. There were some gaps between then and the second and third events (in 2019 and 2022), but since then it’s been an annual event. The festival celebrates Indigenous models, designers, and creatives from across the country.
The 2026 theme is “Earth.” In previous years, the theme “Air” represented movement and freedom. If 2026 is like other years over 70 Indigenous artists will take part, including more than 30 designers. The 2025 event schedule is listed below.
- Wednesday, November 18th, 2026: Opening Night – Red Dress Event.
- Thursday, November 19th, 2026: All My Relations – Couture Night.
- Friday, November 20th, 2026: Indigenous Futures – Hip Hop & Streetwear.
- Saturday, November 21st, 2026: Spirit of the West Coast – Closing Night.
Tickets range from $35 to $80, with all shows beginning at 7:00 pm at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in downtown Vancouver. For more details, check out our Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week article.
Bridal Fashion Week Vancouver
Bridal Fashion Week is a large wedding exhibition that visits Vancouver at least once a year. In 2026 the 11th anniversary of the event ran from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on April 4th at the Westin Bayshore Hotel.
One of the main components of Bridal Fashion Week is the series of fashion shows held at different times throughout the day. Brides and grooms get to see a showcase of the latest trends in wedding fashion. There are also dozens of wedding professionals on-site offering their products and services for couples planning their big day. Food and drinks are available and there are various contests and giveaways as well.
General admission to previous events cost around $15 per person. Special tickets that included swag bags and other perks were available for brides and grooms. There were also VIP tickets that came with front-row seats and the chance to walk the runway.
