Model at Vancouver Fashion Week

One of the biggest Fashion Shows in the city, Vancouver Fashion Week happens twice a year and features dozens of designers and models.

In 2026 the spring series of events ran from April 8th to 12th. The fall dates for this year are October 14th to 18th.

Other major fashion festivals include Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week (in November) and Vancouver Independent Fashion Flair’s Elevate Fashion Festival (which has multiple events at different times of the year).

The Vancouver Fashion Week

Vancouver Fashion Week was founded in 2001 by Vancouver-based fashion producer Jamal Abdourahman. The event celebrates its 26th year in 2026. It has grown into one of the biggest fashion shows not just in Canada, but in all of North America!

While Vancouver Fashion Week brings in some designers from across the globe, there are many from BC and the rest of Canada who have the opportunity to present their work on a big stage. The events feature as many as 50 or more designers and dozens of models.

In addition to the main festival there’s also Vancouver Kids Fashion Week which happens on the Saturday and Sunday, so on October 17th and 18th in the 2026 fall show). First held in 2016, Vancouver Kids Fashion Week features a smaller number of designers who specialize in children’s outfits which are modelled by local youth.

Where Are the Fashion Week Shows?

All of the Vancouver Fashion Week events (for both adults and kids) take place at David Lam Hall at the Chinese Cultural Centre in Chinatown. The venue’s address is located at 50 East Pender Street in downtown Vancouver.

How Times and Ticket Details

The 2026 fall show begins on October 14th and runs until the 18th. There are shows in the evening of each of the six days at David Lam Hall. Admission to one show costs $75 for a regular ticket, or $580 for a VIP pass which includes two front-row seats.

This year the Vancouver Kids Fashion Week events happen in the afternoon on the weekend of April 17th and 18th. Tickets to one of these shows cost $25 (and for these events there are no VIP passes).

The kids shows run from noon to 1:00 pm. The main festival shows start between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm depending on the day, and finish at either 8:00 pm or 8:30 pm.

Vancouver Fashion Week has a number of different event nights over the course of the week. Each one features different designers, so people who are interested in specific ones can select their evening if they choose to do so.
