2026 FIFA World Cup Events in Vancouver

Vancouver is one of the 16 host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The tournament is jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States. All games in Vancouver will be played inside BC Place Stadium. Toronto is the other Canadian city.

The World Cup takes place from June 11th to July 19th in 2026. Around 350,000 fans are expected to visit Vancouver over the course of the tournament!

Every host city has an official FIFA Fan Festival. Vancouver’s is being held at the PNE. A highlight of the festival is the Freedom Mobile Arch, the new, massive amphitheatre built at the site’s grounds.

There will be other watch parties and various fun events taking place in Vancouver over the course of the World Cup. It’s the biggest sporting event in the world for a reason!

FIFA Fan Festival

The FIFA Fan Festival is the main event off the field during the World Cup in Vancouver. While the city hosts games from just June 13th to July 7th, the Fan Festival runs the entire length of the tournament, so from June 11th until July 19th.

The PNE Fairgrounds is the site of the festival. While there is parking available at the PNE, it can be expensive (typically between $15 and $25 on event days). Parking is also limited. If you’re able to walk, bike or take the bus to the site, then that is recommended.

The festival is free to attend ,although there will also be paid VIP packages that include perks like lounge access, complimentary food and drinks, and other amenities. Details about the VIP experiences are yet to be announced as of the beginning of January.

Every 2026 FIFA World Cup game will be streamed live on massive video screens at the new Freedom Mobile Arch outdoor amphitheatre. The amphitheatre contains 6,000 covered seats as well as an open area in behind that can fit another 4,000 or so attendees.

Outside of screenings of the games themselves, the amphitheatre will also host a series of concerts over the course of the World Cup, as well as other entertainment. The exact schedule is to be confirmed. Check the Vancouver FIFA World Cup website for the most up-to-date information.

More World Cup Events

While there aren’t a ton of details on other World Cup events as of the beginning of the new year, there will certainly be various ones that pop up closer to the beginning of the tournament.

There will be plenty of Vancouver Bars and Restaurants that have watch parties of their own, or at least will have the games playing on TV.

Latincouver (which also hosts the Carnaval del Sol in July) hosted a watch party for the FIFA World Cup draw in December and will likely have other World Cup-related events happening in the summer.
