Women Entrepreneurs and the LOLA Market

The LOLA Market is an artisan market, but it’s also more than that. Hosted by the Lola Collective, the event is a “celebration of women who create.” All the vendors are women. The focus of the event is on women creators, and the wellness and needs of women. There are service providers and sellers of other products in addition to local artisans. There are also talks and presentations.

Vendors at the market specialize in products related to art, beauty, fashion accessories, food, wellness, and handmade artisan creations. In addition to market stalls, the event features inspiring talks, live shows, wellness and financial stations, and activities for children.

When & Where is the LOLA Market

In 2026 the inaugural event is on the Saturday and Sunday of May 16th and 17th. It runs from 12:30 until 6:30 on both days.

The LOLA Market takes place in the Pipe Shop in the Shipyard’s District of North Vancouver. The venue’s address is 115 Victory Ship Way. It’s near the bottom of Lonsdale Avenue, not far from the waterfront, just a 5-minute walk from Lonsdale Quay and the North Shore SeaBus Terminal.

The Pipe Shop is a fabulous, spacious venue for markets and other events. It’s a heritage building with high ceilings, large wood pillars, and mid-20th century industrial charm.

What to Expect at the LOLA Market

According to its website, the LOLA Market is “a space created to celebrate community, creativity, and the people behind each brand. [They] welcome all kinds of businesses, from handmade products and fashion to food, services, and creative brands.”

Products you’ll likely find at the market include soaps, health & beauty products, candles, clothing, jewellery, fashion accessories, art and clothing, both made locally and from around the world. There will also likely be baked goods, jams, sweets and other homemade foods.

At the event there is entertainment too, including singers and dancing. There are also live talks and workshops for both adults and children. At the event, in addition to there being crafts and other activities for children, there is a “Little Creators Space” where entrepreneurial kids ages 3 to 14 have their own vendor tables from which to sell their handmade products. How cool is that!

About the Organizers

The LOLA Market is a curated market celebrating women entrepreneurs, community and creativity. It’s hosted by the Lola Collective, but produced and designed by Poshty which is a design and events company. As a result, you can expect the event to be extra aesthetically appealing and decorated compared to your average artisan market.

Poshty is a company led by Natalia, an event designer and decorator with over 15 years of experience producing festivals, galas and other events. She designs experiences and she’s passionate about what she does. One event you might be familiar with that she’s had a leadership role in is Carnaval del Sol, the big Latin Festival that happens annually in Vancouver in July.
