The Chilliwack Party in the Park is a Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival event with live music, a market and food trucks. Admission is free.
In 2024 the event took place on the weekend of May 4th and 5th at Central Community Park in Chilliwack. In addition to food, entertainment and artisan vendors, there is a beer garden.
TIPS:
- If you wanted to experience the event with a bit of a Cinco de Mayo Mexican theme, May 5th was the day to go.
- If you couldn’t make it that weekend, or wanted even more food truck food, then the Burnaby Food Truck Festival at BCIT on the Mother’s Day weekend of May 11th and 12th was the place to be.

Chilliwack Party in the Park
The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival hosts events at a number of different locations during the spring and summer including in Chilliwack.
The Chilliwack Party in the Park ran on May 4th and 5th in 2024. It happened at Central Community Park located at 45951 Victoria Avenue. On the Saturday, the event ran from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. On the Sunday, it ran from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm, so for one hour less.
The event is free to attend and has both a Star Wars and Cinco de Mayo theme. Folks are encouraged to dress in costumes for a chance to win a prize. As usual, the event features food trucks and an artisan market with local vendors. There’s also a beer garden and activities for kids. As with all events hosted by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival, live entertainment runs for most of the day as well.

This year, the Chilliwack event featured about 20 food vendors. On both the Saturday and Sunday, the market also featured around 12 different vendors selling a variety of artisan products.

Local Market Vendors
In the spring of 2024 there were 16 or so market vendors on-site at the event. The vendors are local businesses that offered high quality products ranging from soaps and candles to baked goods and jewellery.

Live Entertainment
At the event a variety of musicians and DJs provide the entertainment each year. On the first day of the May 2024 event, performers included Concrete Jungle, Stan Giles Band, Tailgators and Nighthawks. Entertaining on the second day were Dog Daze, Lounge Hounds, Retrobot and Calvin Rempel Band.
