What to Expect

At the market local artisans sell a variety of hand-crafted creations. There are Christmas ornaments, homemade preserves, greeting cards, jewellery and baked goods, plus knitted, crocheted and sewn items.

In addition to the artisan vendors and their products, the Holy Cross Christmas Market is famous for its homemade apple pies which cost about $12 each. (Note: Due to their popularity, there is usually a limit of two pies per family – they are really that popular!)

The event also features a number of raffle gift baskets full of wonderful things. Raffle tickets cost $2 for one or three for $5.

Also at the market, ladies from the Holy Cross Catholic Women’s League make Italian cookies called pizzelle. The cookies are delcious and proceeds from their sale benefits Covenant House which is a charitable organization that helps homelss youth.
