North Delta’s Artisan Holiday Market
The North Delta Artisan and Gift Market is a holiday craft market in Delta, BC. It features dozens of vendors selling everything from candles and soaps to ornaments and clothing. The event is more than just a craft market. There is a food truck on-site and a separate snack stand as well. Santa and Mrs. Claus are also available for photos!
A great thing about the market is that admission is by donation, and the photos with Santa are normally free! As an extra incentive, the first 150 people to arrive receive a free shopping bag to use at the market. Everyone is always encouraged to bring their own bags too.
When and Where?
The annual event is held at Sunshine Hills Elementary School, located at 11285 Bond Boulevard in Delta. Delta is a municipality in Metro Vancouver that’s south of Richmond and west of Surrey. Sunshine Hills Elementary is at the eastern edge of Delta, about a seven-minute drive north of the Delta Golf & Country Club. The school is also about the same distance to the Surrey campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
The fifth edition of the North Delta Artisan and Gift Market takes place in November this year. The exact date is to be confirmed. The market usually opens at 10:00 am and runs until 3:00 pm.

What to Expect
The North Delta Artisan and Gift Market is a group of local vendors who participate in various markets throughout Metro Vancouver. With close to 40 members, the group comes together to host the Holiday Craft Market once a year. Similar to other markets, vendors pay for table space and line the indoor venue. With the North Delta event, however, table fees benefit local school children. Proceeds go to the Sunshine Hills School PAC and the North Delta Rotary Starfish Backpack Program.
With over 34 local vendors at the event, expect to see all sorts of products.
There are arts and crafts, apothecary products, cards, flowers, jewellery, painted wineglasses, holiday ornaments, decorations and gift packages, plus baked goods and so much more. Newer vendors who’ve joined the group in recent years sell art, pottery creations, doll clothing and creative felted soaps.
Lunch is usually available at the event as well with one or two food trucks. Snacks are also on sale. Of course, lots of kids and young families line up to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus when they’re at the event. Bring your camera and snap some photos with the special guests!
