Vancouver’s Tour de Concord Bike Festival

Tour de Concord Vancouver

The Tour de Concord is a Vancouver bike festival that combines cycling, food and drinks, live music and charitable fundraising into one event each summer.

Tour de Concord Bike Festival and Races

The Tour de Concord is a fun day in the sun for bike-lovers of all kinds. There are a series of races for high-level cyclists, amateur riders and children alike. The festival also offers plenty of fun for those who aren’t racing such as food trucks, a beer garden, music and free safety checks for their own bikes. The event raises money for a good cause!

2024 marked the fourth annual Tour de Concord. The event has taken place anywhere from mid-June to late August. This year the festival hapened on Sunday, July 7th.

Where and When

The Tour de Concord is held at Concord Pacific Place at 88 Pacific Boulevard. The festivities take place along False Creek, right between Rogers Arena and Science World. The first race begins at 10:00 am and the closing ceremony is at 3:00 pm.

The 2024 Tour de Concord was on Saturday, July 7th. The event is free to attend but organizers want everyone to register in advance online so they know how many people will be there.

The Kids Ride (for those ages 3 to 12) and Youth Race (for those ages 13 to 17) are also free to participate in. Riders must register in advance and those in the Youth Race must be a member of Cycling BC.

Registration for all of the adult races costs $50 per person. There was a prize pool of more than $5,000 at the 2024 event to split between the top performers from each of the races.

The 2024 Tour de Concord

The track used for all of the races is a one kilometre loop between the False Creek Seawall and Pacific Boulevard. The loop is closed on both sides with the exception of a few crosswalks to allow attendees to get to each section of the festival. Just make sure there’s no cyclists flying around the course while crossing!

The festival zone includes the Cycling BC HopOn bike obstacle course designed for kids, plus a selection of food trucks, a beer garden for ages 19 and up, and a stage that hosts both live music as well as the awards and closing ceremony.

There are also plenty of vendors showing off the latest models of bikes of all kinds, from road to mountain to e-bikes. Stations for free safety checks and tune-ups are available too.
