Chilliwack’s Atchelitz Pioneer Village

The Atchelitz Pioneer Village is an antique set of buildings, engines and farming machinery. The Atchelitz Threshermen’s Association runs and maintains the attraction. The Association also offers guided tours whenever possible. The village is a neat place to explore, as the rustic structures can make visitors feel like they’re in a completely different time period.

The largest building on-site is the Pioneer building, which is a museum. It features displays of old furniture, along with a warehouse of vintage machines, household items and more. The range of equipment is extensive. Some pieces date back to over 100 years ago, while others were added in the late 1900s.

The museum sometimes hosts special events like the Small Engine Show. The show features all sorts of different gas engines displayed outside the museum with things like pumps, mowers and antique vehicles. There’s also a model train display.

The 2024 Small Engine Show happened on the weekend of May 18th and 19th The event’s status for 2025 is to be confirmed as of early April.
