Movies are shown for free each summer around Vancouver including in Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza, on the North Shore and various other locations.
Folks bring blankets, lawn chairs, family and friends to enjoy the outdoor entertainment.

- Deckchair Cinema – Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.

July 8th (Tuesday) Movie
- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – The Princess Bride shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.
July 10th (Thursday) Movie
- Deckchair Cinema – Universal Language shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
- Summer Movie Nights – The Wild Robot shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery Square.
July 11th (Friday) Movie
- Langley Outdoor Movie Nights – a film shows today at Brydon Park.
July 15th (Tuesday) Movie
- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – The Land Before Time shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.

- Deckchair Cinema – Gravity shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.

July 22nd (Tuesday) Movie
- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – Legally Blonde shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.
July 24th (Thursday) Movie
- Deckchair Cinema – Spaceballs shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
- Summer Movie Nights – Scott Pilgrim vs. The World shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery Square.
July 29th (Tuesday) Movie
- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – Ferris Bueller’s Day Off shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.
July 31st (Thursday) Movie
- Deckchair Cinema – The Fifth Element shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
- Summer Movie Nights – The Wizard of Oz shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery Square.
Note: Place des Arts in Coquitlam hosts their annual Summer Theatre Troupe from July 25th to August 3rd in 2025. This year’s show is Munsch at Play. Admission is free but advanced registration is required.
