Vancouver’s Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown hosts lots of great events throughout the year, including fun Halloween-themed ones in October.

During the Halloween season there are pumpkin-carving opportunities as well as a haunted house. In 2025, the day after Halloween, there is also a magic show.

The Roundhouse celebrates Halloween with a series of special events that combine spooky fun with community spirit. Families, kids, teens, and even adults can enjoy everything from creative workshops to scary walkthroughs and theatrical performances. Each activity offers a fun way to celebrate Halloween. Some are family-friendly while others add a spookier twist for those who like a little scare.

At the Roundhouse during the Halloween season visitors can expect hands-on activities, festive decorations and a welcoming atmosphere. From carving pumpkins to entering haunted spaces or sitting back to enjoy a magic show, the Roundhouse offers a variety of ways to celebrate Halloween. Pre-registration is encouraged for the events as many of these popular activities sell out quickly.

In 2025 the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre has Pumpkin-Carving Activities on October 29th and a Halloween Haunted House Walkthrough on October 31st. The day after Halloween, on November 1st, there is also a Magic Everywhere show. Below are details about all three of the events.

Pumpkin Carving at the Roundhouse

Get into the Halloween spirit with a classic pumpkin carving session. This event happens on Wednesday, October 29th, with a session from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and then another one from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Guests can enjoy a pumpkin carving session with tools, stencils and festive music provided. Each ticket includes one pumpkin and families are encouraged to carve together. Parent participation is required and space is limited. Tickets are $10 per pumpkin.

Halloween Walkthrough at the Roundhouse

Little kids, pre-teens and teenagers can enjoy the Haunted Roundhouse, a spooky event filled with thrills and surprises. The event happens on Friday, October 31st.

There are sessions for children between the ages of 4 and 12 at 4:00 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:00 pm, 5:30pm and 6:00 pm. Scarier sessions  for older youth happen from 6:30 to 7:00 pm and then again from 7:00 until 7:30 pm. Guests can explore the Haunted Roundhouse, a youth-only walkthrough featuring a spooky indoor forest with ghosts, skeletons and creepy surprises. A craft station, photo booth and treat bag are included. Tickets are $10 per person and pre-registration is required as space is limited.

Magic Everywhere Show in 2025

A magic show brings Halloween to life with dazzling tricks, entertaining performances and family-friendly fun for all ages. This event happens on Saturday, November 1st, at 3:00 pm. Participants can enjoy a special magic cabaret featuring four of Vancouver’s top magicians. The show blends comedy, sleight of hand and theatrical spectacle in an 80-minute performance. This all-ages show promises a lively and entertaining experience. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the Roundhouse.

About the Roundhouse

The Roundhouse is a centre for community culture and recreation. The place brings people together to explore ideas, creativity and sports.

The centre’s address is 181 Roundhouse Mews. It’s in the heart of Yaletown not far from David Lam Park and the False Creek Seawall. The venue serves as a community space for all ages, helping visitors rejuvenate and connect with their community. The centre is also the home of Engine 374, the locomotive that brought the first transcontinental passenger train to Vancouver in 1887.
