Kick-Off Event at Percy Perry Stadium
The celebrations begin on Friday, June 12th, at Percy Perry Stadium. The event takes place from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The opening event features a large outdoor viewing party, community activities and food vendors. Visitors can watch live World Cup action while enjoying a variety of food options and entertainment throughout the day.
Several food vendors participate in the kick-off celebration, including barbecue specialists, Greek cuisine, mini donut, lemonade vendors, poutine and tornado potato stands. The game at noon is between Canada and Bosnia-Herzegovina. The venue, Percy Perry Stadium, is located at 1290 Pipeline Road in Town Centre Park.
Community Viewing Party
A second viewing celebration takes place at Blue Mountain Park on June 24th. The Community Viewing Party happens from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The park’s address is 975 King Albert Avenue which is just west of the City of Lougheed and the Vancouver Golf Club.
The Community Viewing Party provides another opportunity for local residents to gather outdoors and enjoy live World Cup broadcasts on a big screen in a welcoming community setting. On this day, Canada plays Switzerland.

Canada Day Soccer Viewing Area
Soccer excitement continues on Canada Day with special match-viewing opportunities at Town Centre Park. Visitors can enjoy Canada Day festivities while also following tournament action on large outdoor screens. Coquitlam’s Canada Day event runs from noon until 10:30 pm on July 1st. It includes a fireworks finale. The Canada Day Soccer Viewing Area features match broadcasts scheduled for 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Grand Finale Viewing Party
The Summer of Soccer concludes on Sunday, July 19th, with a championship match viewing party at Percy Perry Stadium. The Grand Finale Viewing Party happens from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.

The festival promotes inclusion, community spirit and cultural appreciation through music, dance and educational experiences.
Last year Celebrate BC took place in just Coquitlam. In 2026, however, it happens at Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park on BC Day (which is August 3rd this year), but also at Port Moody’s Rocky Point Park on Saturday, August 1st.

Summer Concert Series
Every year the City of Coquitlam hosts outdoor concerts at Town Centre Park by Lafarge Lake. They are free to attend, take place on Fridays, and run from 7:00 until 9:00 pm. Each night there are also three or so food trucks on site.
In 2026 there are two concerts. On August 7th there is Classic Elton (which is an Elton John impressionist and tribute band). On September 4th, meanwhile, the live entertainment is with the Country Divas (which is a group that sings the music of Dolly Parton, The Chicks, Faith Hill, Linda Ronstadt, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire and Shania Twain).
BC Dumpling Festival
The BC Dumpling Festival is a free event celebrating multiculturalism and food at Town Centre Park in the summer. The event celebrates multicultural food traditions and the popularity of dumplings from around the world. There are food vendors, cultural performances, cooking demonstrations, family-friendly activities and community programming.
In 2026 the festival happens on Saturday, August 15th. Organizers showcase dumpling styles from many different countries and cultures while promoting diversity and culinary traditions throughout British Columbia. There are other food there too in addition to dumplings.

Lights at Lafarge
Lights at Lafarge is one of Metro Vancouver’s most popular winter attractions. The event is held annually at Lafarge Lake. It transforms the lakeside pathways into a dazzling display of festive lights and illuminated installations. Admission is free!
Visitors can walk around the lake while enjoying colourful seasonal displays, themed decorations and a holiday atmosphere. The attraction is free to attend and typically runs from late November until February.
