Free Live Music at Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam

The Coquitlam Summer Concert Series returns in 2026 with two evenings of free outdoor entertainment. Hosted by the City of Coquitlam, the concerts take place at Lafarge Lake in Town Centre Park which is one of the city’s most popular outdoor gathering spaces.

The family-friendly events feature professional tribute performances, food trucks and community fun in a relaxed park setting. Concerts happen in the evening. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of live music outdoors.

When and Where

The Coquitlam Summer Concert Series takes place at Town Centre Park in Coquitlam. In 2026, the free outdoor concerts happen on Friday, August 7th, and Friday, September 4th. Both events run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm with food trucks serving food and beverages from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.

Town Centre Park is located at 1299 Pinetree Way in Coquitlam. The concerts take place on the stage in the community plaza beside Lafarge Lake. Located at 1299 Pinetree Way, the venue offers plenty of open lawn space and teared seating where visitors can relax with lawn chairs or blankets while enjoying the live entertainment.

What to Expect

The Coquitlam Summer Concert Series offers a relaxed outdoor concert experience suitable for all ages. Guests can expect live music performances, food trucks and a welcoming community atmosphere in one of the region’s most scenic parks.

At the events, each featured act performs two 45-minute sets throughout the evening. The concerts are free to attend and provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy live music outdoors during the summer months. Below is the schedule for the Coquitlam Summer Concert Series in 2026.

August 7th, 2026 – Classic Elton

The first concert of the season features Classic Elton, a tribute show celebrating the music of Elton John.

The production stars performer Andrew Johns and a full nine-piece band complete with a horn section and backup singers. The show recreates the energy, music and showmanship of one of the world’s most famous entertainers while performing many of Elton John’s greatest hits.

Food trucks on site on this date include Alohaaa Dogs, Soda Rebel Co. and Shameless Buns.

September 4th, 2026 – The Country Divas

The second concert in the series features The Country Divas, a theatrical tribute band celebrating some of country music’s most iconic female performers.

This production includes live vocals, dancers, costumes and multimedia elements. The concert showcases songs made famous by artists such as Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, The Chicks, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Faith Hill and Linda Ronstadt.

Food trucks on site on this day include Magical Rings, Gourmet Grub and Bao Buns.
