Outdoor Movie Night at Lansdowne Centre

During the summer you can experience free indoor movie showings on a big screen at Richmond’s Lansdowne Centre Mall on Thursday nights.

Indoor Movie Nights at Lansdowne Mall

Lansdowne Centre Mall is one of the biggest malls in Richmond. It has a massive parking lot that turns into a drive-in movie theatre in the summer.

In 2026 the films take place between July 22nd and September 2nd in the northwest parking beginning at sunset. Guests are welcome to bring blankets or cushions to sit on.

Different from in the past, the movie nights last year took place indoors at the mall’s Centre Court. The area is air conditioned and has a turf floor.

Whereas last year’s screenings took place at 7:00 pm on all four Thursdays in August, in 2026 they happen on Wednesdays beginning at sunset. Also this year, similar to the past, the films happen once again outdoors in the parking lot.

The mall is located at 5300 No. 3 Road. Admission to each movie night is free and tickets are not required. To get the best seats, be sure to arrive a little early. Popcorn is available by donation with proceeds supporting the St. John Ambulance Youth Program.
