
Movies are shown for free each summer around Vancouver including in Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza, on the North Shore and various other locations.
Folks bring blankets, lawn chairs, family and friends to enjoy the outdoor entertainment.

Here is the list of outdoor movies showing in June of 2026.
June 22nd (Monday)
- Movie Matinees – Voices from Across the Water shows at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery in Richmond. Movie tickets cost $5 each, but admission to the historic site is free for everyone until September 7th thanks to the Canada Strong Pass.
June 25th (Thursday)
- Deckchair Cinema – Jafar Panahi’s Offside shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.

July 9th (Thursday)
- Deckchair Cinema – a screening of Sign O’ The Times + Halftime Show at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
July 11th (Saturday)
- Cinema Under the Stars – Jurassic Park shows at Evergreen Park in Port Coquitlam.
July 14th (Tuesday)
- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – Bend it Like Beckham shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.
July 16th (Thursday)
- Deckchair Cinema – a screening of Best in Show at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
- Summer Movie Nights – a movie shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery Square.
July 18th (Saturday)
- Cinema Under the Stars – Mamma Mia! shows at Gates Park in Port Coquitlam.
July 20th (Monday)

- Cinema Under the Stars – Sing 2 shows at Evergreen Park in Port Coquitlam.
July 28th (Tuesday)
- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – Moulin Rouge shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.
July 30th (Thursday)
- Deckchair Cinema – Speed Racer shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.

- Langley Outdoor Movie Night – a film shows today at Douglas Park.
Note: Place des Arts in Coquitlam hosts their annual Summer Theatre Troupe from July 24th to August 2nd in 2026. This year’s show is The Emperor’s New Threads. Admission is free but advanced registration is required.
