Dozens of movies are shown for free each summer around Vancouver including in Stanley Park, at Canada Place, on the North Shore and various other locations.
Folks bring blankets, lawn chairs, family and friends to enjoy the outdoor entertainment.

July 25th (Thursday) Movie
- Deckchair Cinema – Scott Pilgrim vs the World shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
- Summer Movie Nights – a movie shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery Square.
July 26th (Friday) Movie
- North Vancouver Civic Plaza Movies – a movie shows outside the North Vancouver City Library.
July 30th (Tuesday) Movie
- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.
July 31st (Wednesday) Movie
- Sunset Cinema (in North Van) – the Barbie film shows at the Shipyards in North Vancouver.
- Drive-in Movies – Jurassic Park shows at Lansdowne Centre Mall in Richmond. Admission is $25 per vehicle.
Note: Place des Arts in Coquitlam hosts their annual Summer Theatre Troupe from July 26th to August 4th in 2024. This year’s show is an adaptation of Winnie the Pooh. Admission is free but advanced registration is required.

- Stanley Park Summer Cinema – School of Rock shows on one of the largest outdoor screens in the Lower Mainland.

- Sunset Cinema (in North Van) – The Princess Bride shows at the Shipyards in North Vancouver.

- Deckchair Cinema – Stop Making Sense shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
- Summer Movie Nights – Knives Out shows at the Vancouver Art Gallery Square.

- Sunset Cinema (in North Van) – Pitch Perfect shows at the Shipyards in North Vancouver.
August 29th (Thursday) Movie
- Deckchair Cinema – The Warriors shows at Cates Deck in North Vancouver. Admission is by donation.
- Movies on the Mountain – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban shows at Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver. Admission is $25 unless you have an annual pass.
August 30th (Friday) Movie
- Burnaby Outdoor Movie Series – Sonic 2 shows outdoors at Burnaby Civic Square.
