CAPILANO MALL IN NORTH VANCOUVER
Capilano Mall is located at 945 Marine Drive in North Vancouver. It’s about a 7 minute or 3.5 km drive from the Lions Gate Bridge. For folks coming from East Vancouver or the Burnaby direction, it’s about 15 minutes or 9.5 km from the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge.
In addition to the bike park, at the mall there is a Walmart, Go Bananas children’s play centre and retailers like Pastime Sports & Games, a BC Liquor Store, Purdy’s Chocolates, Urban Planet, Connection Men’s Wear, Reitmans, a couple of furnishings stores, a cobbler and six dozen or so other stores and services. Of interest to parents, there is also a CEFA Early Learning, KUMON (with its after school math and reading programs, the Marine Drive Math & Science Centre, and Giraffes Art School.
Capilano Mall’s North Shore Bike Park
The North Shore Bike Park is the biggest indoor bike park in all of Western Canada. It’s a fun-filled facility in North Vancouver that operates throughout the year. The 60,000+ square-foot venue opened in 2023 and is a popular place for all ages, especially youth and families.
The bike park includes something for beginners, intermediates and experts alike. There are jump lines, air bags, a mini ramp, urban zone and pump track. The easier tracks are marked green whereas the more difficult ones are marked blue and black. The facility is perfect for people who love riding their bikes and scooters. There’s also a lounge with tables, a stage, screens and vending machines.
The North Shore Bike Park hosts events from time to time. There are summer camps, morning sessions for preschoolers and special timeslots for seniors. Rooms can be booked for birthday parties as well, and the entire park can also be rented for sleepover events.

Location and Hours
The North Shore Bike Park is inside Capilano Mall which is located at 945 Marine Drive in North Vancouver. The mall has about 90 stores. The bike park is in the northwest corner of the building’s main floor, in the same area the Sears used to be before it closed down a few years ago. The bike park covers the second largest space in the mall, only behind Walmart.
As of the summer of 2024, the attraction is open daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. However, only ages 7 and under can enjoy the Pump Track and Street Zone between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on weekdays.
Free parking is available at the mall, and folks are welcome to walk their bikes through the shopping centre to the bike park. As you might expect, riding bikes through the mall is not permitted.
Admission Details
There are different types of passes available at the North Shore Bike Park. Prices mentioned below were as of the summer of 2024 and are subject to change.
Day Passes are valid for one day and come with in-and-out privileges from dawn to dusk. They cost about $35 for everyone ages 13 and above, $23 for kids ages 5 to 12, and $10 for children under 5 years old.
10 Packs are also available and come with ten day passes for riders of the same age category. They cost about $280 for teens and adults, $184 for ages 5 to 12, and $85 for younger children. If you and your friends plan on going to the bike park multiple times, this is a good way to save money.
Memberships to the North Shore Bike Park are also available. Unlimited access for one year costs about $1000 for ages 13 and above, $700 for ages 5 to 12, and $350 for little kids. Meanwhile, monthly subscriptions cost $145 for teens and adults, $100 for ages 5 to 12, and $60 for ages 4 and under.
All passes include discounts to redeem at participating restaurants in the mall’s food court. Plus, folks with memberships receive a 15% discount on admission for up to five people in their family. Members also save 10% on program fees and products at the bike park’s store.

Equipment Rentals
The North Shore Bike Park offers a variety of equipment to rent. This means you don’t have to own a bike to have fun at the attraction.
Bikes available to rent include ones made by Norco, GT and Radio. They all come in several sizes to cater for different heights and preferences. Havoc Scooters are also available to borrow.
Bikes cost about $10 to rent for one day. Scooters and dirt jumpers, meanwhile, cost about $30. Helmets are included with all rentals and are also available to borrow separately for about $7. Knee and elbow pads also cost around $5 to rent.
