Five Alarm at Deep Cove Theatre

Deep Cove Stage Society is a theatre company that puts on plays at the Deep Cove Shaw Theatre in the Village of Deep Cove in North Vancouver.

The final show of the 2024/25 season is Five Alarm which is a play about a woman and her goal of winning a chili cooking competition. It runs from June 5th to 21st in 2025.

Shows in the theatre’s 2025/26 season include The Ladies Foursome in October, It’s a Wonderful Life in December, Nana’s Naughty Knickers in April 2026, and The Roommate in June 2026.

Deep Cove Theatre

 

Deep Cove Stage Society in North Vancouver

Founded in 1974, Deep Cove Stage Society (DCSS) is a not-for-profit organization that hosts theatre shows in North Vancouver. DCSS is one of two theatre companies that share the Deep Cove Shaw Theatre at 4360 Gallant Avenue in Deep Cove. The other company is First Impressions Theatre. As an organization, DCSS has been entertaining North Shore audiences for around 50 years!

 

2025/2026 Season

DCSS puts on shows from autumn to spring most years. Their 2024/2025 season opened on October 10th. It ends with Five Alarm which runs until June 21st. The 2025/2026 season then begins in October. There are four different productions, each of which shows for about two weeks at a time.

Five Alarm

Thursdays to Sundays from June 5th to 21st, 2025

Five Alarm is a play about Ava Rose and her determination to win a chili cook off. She tries to use her father’s recipe which also helps her learn things about her past. Originally written by Kristen De Silva, this play is directed by Sandra Medeiros.

The preview show happens on June 5th. Tickets cost $12 each. Admission on other days is $25 for adults and $22 for students and seniors.

The Ladies Foursome

Thursdays to Sundays between October 10th and 25th, 2025

DCSS kicks off their 2025/2026 season with The Ladies Foursome. Written by Norm Foster and directed by Val Mason, the play is about a group of women who golf together. After the funeral of one of their friends, the remaining three are joined at the golf course by another woman. There’s lots of stories, secrets and confessions that follow.

Tickets cost $25 for adults and $22 for seniors and students.

It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play

Select dates from December 17th to 28th, 2025

It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is the Deep Cove Stage’s Christmas show. The show is made like a 1940s live radio broadcast, but with dozens of characters on stage. It’s about the story of George Bailey on Christmas Eve. This production is directed by Tracy Labrosse and written by Joe Landry.

Shows runs daily from December 17th to 21st, and again from December 26th to 28th. Admission costs $22 per person.

Nana’s Naughty Knickers

Thursdays to Sundays between March 27th and April 11th, 2026

Nana’s Naughty Knickers is a comedy written by Katherine DiSavino. The story is about a girl who lives with her grandmother, only to find out the old woman is running an illegal store from their home.

Tickets cost $22 for students and seniors. Admission for adults is $25 each.

The Roommate

Thursdays to Sundays between June 5th and 20th, 2026

The Roommate was originally written by Jen Silverman and the show is directed by John Cousins. It’s a dark comedy about two roommates, one of whom is trying to hide and start a fresh life.

Tickets cost $25 for adults and $22 for students and seniors.
