Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Port Moody

Remembrance Day in Port Moody begins with an inter-faith, non-denominational service. A couple of years ago it took place at 10:00 am at the Kyle Centre at 125 Kyle Street. In 2023, however, the service happened at the Port Moody Legion (#119) which is located at 2529 Clark Street.

Following the service, there is a parade and ceremony. Last year the parade started at 10:35 am. It went along Kyle Street, St. Johns Street, Grant Street and then Clarke Street. After the parade the ceremony took place in front of the Royal Canadian Legion on Clarke Street. The laying of the wreathes happened at the Cenotaph outside the region on Spring Street.

The procession in 2023 began outside the Port Moody Legion at 2529 Clarke Street. The route then headed south on Kyle, east on St Johns, north on Grant Street and then west on Clarke where it ends back at the Legion.
