Port Moody on Remembrance Day

Port Moody honours Canadian veterans on November 11th with a Remembrance Day parade and ceremony organized by the Royal Canadian Legion on Clarke Street.

Remembrance Day Ceremonies in Port Moody

Remembrance Day in Port Moody typically begins with an inter-faith, non-denominational service at 10:00 am. The service happens at the Port Moody Legion (#119) at 2529 Clark Street.

A parade and ceremony follow the service. The parade starts at 10:35 am. It begins outside the Port Moody Legion. The route heads south on Kyle, east on St Johns, north on Grant Street and then west on Clarke where it ends back at the Legion.

After the parade the main ceremony happens in front of the Royal Canadian Legion on Clarke Street. Wreaths are laid at the Cenotaph outside the legion on Spring Street.

St. Johns Street is temporarily closed during the parade, but only between around 10:00 and 11:00 am. Be aware there might be delays if you’re driving through the area on the morning of November 11th.
