The SeaWheeze Half Marathon is a Lululemon-sponsored Vancouver running race. The Sunset Festival is the event’s after-party with yoga and outdoor concerts.
Note: After not happening for a number of years, the SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Sunset Festival are back in 2026! This year’s events happen on Saturday, August 8th. Continue reading below for more details about what to expect.
SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Festival
The SeaWheeze Half Marathon and Festival is a large fitness event sponsored by Lululemon. The event is much more than just a half marathon. Lululemon sponsors yoga sessions, a dance party, and other activities on a weekend in August.
Over 10,000 runners take part in the SeaWheeze Half Marathon. (Note: A half marathon is 21.1 kilometres long, or 13.1 miles.)

About the Event
Prior to this year, the last in-person SeaWheeze event took place in 2019. In 2020 and 2021 the run happened as a virtual event. It was cancelled in 2022 and didn’t happen in 2023, 2024 or 2025.
The 2026 edition of SeaWheeze is back to its normal in-person format. This year’s half marathon begins in downtown Vancouver and heads through Chinatown. It continues along the eastern edge of False Creek, onto Kitsilano via 8th Avenue, 6th Avenue and a number of other streets. Runners then cross the Burrard Street Bridge and pass through English Bay, before going almost all the way around Stanley Park. Lastly, the route goes from Coal Harbour back to downtown Vancouver.
Registration for the 2026 event costs $325 for Canadian residents and about $375 for everyone else. Participants receive SeaWheeze shorts, a three-month subscription to Runna, entry to the Sunset Festival, a finisher’s medal, and more.
Pre-SeaWheeze Party
On the day before the SeaWheeze Half Marathon in 2026, runners have the option to take part in the PreWheeze Party. It takes place from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday, August 7th. Festivities are held at the Vancouver Convention Centre. In previous years, activities at the PreWheeze Party have included yoga sessions and meditation run by some of Lululemon’s yoga ambassadors.

SeaWheeze Sunset Festival
A number of Lower Mainland Running Races involve live music and festival-like activities to varying degrees. The SeaWheeze Half Marathon, however, features major concerts. The festival at the end of the run is impressive as well.
The Sunset Festival takes place in Stanley Park‘s Brockton Fields a few hours after the half marathon. The event typically features live music, snacks, drinks and yoga. The festival also had an artisan market in previous years.
The concerts always include some pretty big-name artists along with local talent. 2026’s headliner artist is John Summit, who is a famous American DJ.
The Sunset Festival is complimentary for runners participating in the SeaWheeze Half Marathon. Only a limited number of independent festival tickets are available to the general public.
