Steveston Farmers and Artisan Market

Market Day in Steveston Village

The summer farmers market in Richmond’s historic Steveston Village is a large one. It takes place two Sundays a month from May until September.

Steveston Village Farmers Market in 2025

Officially called the Steveston Farmers and Artisan Market, this is a really good market because of its size and location. Up to as many as 60 vendors turn out on busy days most years, which makes it one of Metro Vancouver’s larger outdoor markets.

Where and When

The Steveston Farmers and Artisan Market takes place in the summer in the historic and touristy town of Steveston Village.

In previous years vendors set up in the parking lot at the Steveston Community Centre at 4111 Moncton Street. However, due to construction in the area, the market happens at a different location as of 2025. It’s now held at Garry Point Park which is on 7th Avenue between Chatham Street and Moncton Street.

The park is in the southwest corner of Richmond. It stretches to the waterfront and there are great walking trails to check out. The Gulf of Georgia Cannery national historic site is a 10-minute walk away as well.

In 2025 the Steveston Farmers Market takes place on the Sundays of May 11th and 25th, and June 1st and 15th. It continues on July 13th and 27th, August 17th and 31st, and September 14th and 28th. Hours of operation are from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm each day.

The Steveston Farmers and Artisan Market occurs rain or shine on the above Sundays.

The market doesn’t occur exactly every second weekend. Sometimes its dates are two weeks apart and sometimes three. Double-check the calendar before you go.

About the Summer Market

The Steveston Farmers and Artisan Market is usually made up of close to 60 vendors including the typical assortment of fruits and vegetable stalls, a kettle corn candy table, a local wine and beer producer or two, and baked goods sellers.

It’s an “artisan market” too, however, so it also has more craft and artisan vendors than most other farmers markets. On the most recent day we went, for example, there was a leather goods vendor, a stall selling garden plants, and a number of both handmade and commercially-manufactured specialty clothing vendors.

The summer outdoor market at Steveston Village is a popular farmers market for adults because of its size and wide selection.
