Potters Christmas Store

Late each year Potters Nursery in Surrey becomes the Christmas Store at Potters which is the biggest retailer of winter holiday merchandise in Metro Vancouver.

Potters Nursery also used to run Potters House of Horrors which was a haunted house attraction in Surrey. A few years ago, however, they sold that and it became Cougar Creek’s House of Horrors (which continues to be one of the best and most frightening haunted attractions in British Columbia).

If you like the winter holiday season and shopping for unique Christmas gifts and decorations, Potter’s is a good place to do that. Other places to check out include Lower Mainland Artisan Craft Fairs and events like the Vancouver Christmas Market. Also, new for 2024, there is the Noel Holiday Light Festival & Market which runs from November 28th to December 23rd at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in Surrey. In Langley there is both Merry & Bright at Martini Town and Glow Christmas as well.

Potters Christmas Store

Potters Nursery is a large family-run garden centre in the City of Surrey. For most of the year, the place offers locally produced plants, including perennials, herbs, annuals, and more.

However, starting on November 1st each year, Potters becomes a massive Christmas store that attracts folks from all over the Lower Mainland. In fact, Potters claims to be the largest Christmas store in all of Western Canada!

The 28,000 square-foot building contains tens of thousands of products to browse. There are numerous festive items to suit everyone’s needs during the holiday season.

The store is full of Christmas decorations. There are all sorts of tree ornaments organized by colour and category. The selection is huge! A particularly impressive area in the store is the “Dark Room”. It features a variety of themed lights for Christmas trees. Another highlight is the gourmet food section, featuring specialty hot chocolates, syrups, sauces, and more.

There are also entire sections dedicated to nutcrackers, Grinch collectibles, and British-inspired treats. Making the store a wonderful place to visit if you’re looking for new decorations or a festive outing with the family during the Christmas season.

New for 2025 at Potter’s

The 2025 displays feature new areas, including a shimmering crystal forest, classic red-and-white displays with life-size Santa Claus, and a new Candyland area filled with doughnuts and gingerbread houses.

Families will love the free Santa’s Report Card Potter’s Christmas store is offering, where children can track their good behaviour for Santa to check!

Potters Nursery is located at 19158 48th Avenue in Surrey. The venue has plenty of free parking. The Christmas Store is open daily from November 1st, 2025, until Christmas.

As of early November 2025, Potter’s Christmas Store’s hours are listed below.

Saturday to Tuesday: 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
Wednesday to Friday: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm.

Extended holiday hours are typically added closer to Christmas. For the most current information, check the Potters website. There are special hours in November for Remembrance Day.
