
The PoCo Car Show is an annual summer event with a barbecue, car cruise, car show, live entertainment and other activities in downtown Port Coquitlam.
The car cruise and show take place in mid-August. That’s around the same time as Ribfest Langley, Symphony in the Park in Abbotsford, the PNE Fair and several other events. In 2026 the cruise takes place on Saturday, 15th August. The following day, the show happens on Sunday, 16th August.

Downtown Port Coquitlam Car Show
The Port Coquitlam Car Show is a family-friendly event with all sorts of cars, live entertainment and fun activities to enjoy. The car show has run most years since 2005. It’s a popular and well-attended event. The festivities begin with a barbecue dinner and traditional Car Cruise on Saturday evening. The fun continues with a Car Show and street activities on Sunday.
In 2026 the event happens on Saturday, August 15th, and Sunday, August 16th. This year the Port Coquitlam Car Show celebrates its 20th year!
Saturday Dinner and Car Cruise
The Port Coquitlam Car Cruise happens on the Saturday. This year, the barbecue for attendees takes place from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Afterwards, the car cruise through the community happens from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
During the Car Cruise, as many as 300 or more vintage and custom vehicles parade through Port Coquitlam’s downtown area starting at Leigh Square.
Featured vehicles typically drive from Shaughnessy Street to Lincoln Avenue and up to Victoria Drive. The Car Cruise then turns south on Cedar Drive and continues along Fremont Drive, the Coast Meridian Overpass, Citadel Drive, and other streets. The cruise then concludes back at Leigh Square.

Sunday Car Show and Entertainment
The actual Car Show takes place on the Sunday. In 2026 the event happens on Sunday, 16th August. The small area around Leigh Square between McAllister Avenue and Wilson Avenue is usually closed on this day until sometime after 7:00 pm. An impressive assortment of around 400 cars lines the sides of the streets. The stationary car display features classic, muscle and rare vehicles to check out.
The day begins early with a group breakfast from around 7:30 am to 11:00 am. It costs $5 per person and is open to all. Aside from the cars, the daytime show also features local vendors, exhibitors, a beer garden and an area with activities for kids. Children can rock climb, play carnival games and navigate through a fun obstacle course for most of the day.
There is also an entertainment stage with live performances throughout the day. Listed below were the main stage performances on Sunday in 2025. The lineup for 2026 is likely to be similar but is yet to be confirmed.
- 11:00 am – The Coyotes
- 12:00 pm – Fairweather Blues
- 1:00 pm – Steve Sainas Trio
- 2:15 pm – Blue Collar Overdrive
- 4:00 pm – AWARDS
- 5:00 pm – Barracuda
