The Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre provides a variety of amenities for guests. The fitness centre has both cardio equipment and free weights. Also within the hotel is a heated pool and hot tub.

On street level in the North Tower, the hotel is home to a hair salon and florist (or at least it was when we were last there). The hotel also offers bike rentals for an extra charge.

The Sheraton Vancouver is a pet-friendly hotel. There is no extra fee for having your pet with you, as there is with most other Vancouver hotels, but there is a limit of one pet per room. (Note: Rules and fees regarding pets are subject to change.)

Dining at the Sheraton Wall

Vancouver’s Sheraton Wall Centre has two dining options on-site, as well as a Starbucks located in the lobby.

Café One

The Café One restaurant is the hotel’s main dining area located in the lobby. It is a smart-casual restaurant that’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu features a buffet breakfast and Canadian West Coast-inspired dishes for lunch and dinner.

Bar One

Bar One is more of a lounge-type eating area. The place is open for both lunch and dinner, and serves small dishes and appetizers until midnight. However, Bar One is known more for its selection of craft beers, wine and spirits.

Our Hotel Stay Experience

We stayed at the Sheraton in the winter of 2020 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Although the hotel is across the street from a major hospital, we didn’t hear any sirens at night (which was great).

The room we had was very nice. Coffee in the room was from Starbucks. We did find some of the hotel corridors to be a bit of a maze. It might have been just us not knowing our way around, but it seemed that to access the indoor pool you had to go outside and then back in a different door.

The swimming pool at the hotel was fairly standard and what you might find at most comparable hotels. It wasn’t deep. Depths at the sides were 1.1 metres and 1.4 metres (or 3.5 and 4.5 feet), so good for children and deep enough to swim in.

What’s in the Area?

It’s a 10-minute walk from the hotel to the shopping district on Robson Street or a 20-minute walk to both Granville Island and English Bay Beach. Stanley Park is also a short drive or bus ride away.

On Saturdays between May and October the West End Farmers Market takes place just a couple of blocks from the hotel. If you like history and heritage buildings, you might also like the Roedde House Museum which is about a 15-minute walk away.
