Free Vancouver Jazz Festival Concerts

The 2026 Vancouver International Jazz Festival runs from June 26th until July 5th. It includes dozens of both free and ticketed jazz performances.

In this article you’ll find a list of the various free live music performances that happened at the festival last year. Organizers are to confirm the 2026 performance schedule. Don’t just go to the free concerts, though. The ticketed events are well worth paying for. Many of the artists are amazing, and some of the best concerts, as one might expect, are ticketed. There are, however, lots of great free events too.

Open Jazz Jams

The Vancouver International Jazz Festival usually has a variety of Open Jazz Jams. In 2025 these events took place at 10:45 pm each day between June 20th and June 29th at Tyrant Studios (at 1019 Seymour Street). However, last year’s events weren’t free to attend. Instead, admission for participating musicians was pay what you could, while tickets for the general public cost $10 per person.
