A number of organizations and attractions in Metro Vancouver offer Spring Break camps for children and teenagers during the school holidays in March.
In 2026 Spring Break runs from March 16th to 27th.
Spring Break Camps for Kids in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
Attractions that offer Spring Break camps for kids most years include Timberline Ranch in Maple Ridge, Fantasy Farms in Chilliwack, Presentation House Theatre in North Vancouver, the Vancouver Maritime Museum in Vancouver, and Place des Arts in Coquitlam. There are also special activities at Britannia Mine Museum near Squamish, as well as events at other places too.
The designed age ranges for Spring Break camps vary, but generally they’re geared towards children either in elementary school or the beginning of high school. Keep reading below for details about each of the various camps.
Place des Arts
Place des Arts offers all kinds of programs and events for kids at different times of the year. Over Spring Break, the education centre in Coquitlam hosts art camps for various age groups.
There are full-day camps for kids in Kindergarten to Grade 5. Those take place from 9:00 am to 3:35 pm on Monday to Friday during the first week of Spring Break. Half-day camps are also available for older children in Grades 6 to 9. Morning sessions start at 9:00 am and run until noon. Afternoon sessions, meanwhile, start at 12:35 pm and run until 3:35 pm. The second week of Spring Break is when kids in Kindergarten to Grade 2 can enjoy half-day camps on weekday mornings as well.
Topics and activities covered in each camp depend on the age group. For example, younger children get to dance, paint, learn origami, play guitar, and so much more. Older kids, on the other hand, get to refine their skills in specific disciplines such as drawing and drama.
For full details about the camps see the Place des Arts website.

Fantasy Farms
Chilliwack’s Fantasy Farms is a functioning farm that also hosts a variety of events throughout the year.
During Spring Break in 2026, the farm offers two sets of five-day camps for kids between the ages of 5 and 11 years old. The camps run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from March 16th to 20th and from March 23rd to 27th.
Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor games, nature walks and scavenger hunts. Children also get to spend time with the farm’s animals. Each week of camp costs $200 per kid.
For more information about this year’s Spring Break camps, see the official Fantasy Farms website.
Britannia Mine Museum
The Britannia Mine is a National Historic Site located between Vancouver and Squamish. It’s a terrific museum. Although the attraction doesn’t offer Spring Break camps, there are still special activities for kids to enjoy over the holidays most years.
On weekdays during Spring Break in 2026, there are Secret Identities drop-in sessions in the Terra lab from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. They include hands-on things to do where families can learn about minerals. Every day over Spring Break, there’s also programs titled Whatever Happened to Mt. Sheer and Before Rail & Road.
To learn more about activities at the museum, see the Britannia Mine website.
Presentation House Theatre
Located in North Vancouver, Presentation House Theatre offers spring break camps for kids ages 5 to 13 in 2026. The programs are designed to connect children to the world of theatre through creative activities. Some camps cover the topics of movement and storytelling, while others are about acting, playwriting and even Dungeons and Dragons.
Sessions run from March 16th to 20th, and then again from March 23rd to 27th. Hours each day are from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. The cost to register is $450 per week or $850 for both weeks.
For full details about the 2026 camps, see the official Presentation House Theatre website.
Timberline Ranch
Timberline Ranch is a retreat and camp centre in Maple Ridge. Surrounded by nature, the ranch offers all sorts of outdoor experiences for all ages. In the spring there are often special four-day camps for children. In 2026 the camps run from Monday to Thursday over both weeks of the holidays. Activities include horseback riding, archery, rock climbing and more.
For additional details about the place in general, see our article about Timberline Ranch.
Vancouver Maritime Museum
Located in Vanier Park, the Vancouver Maritime Museum offers educational camps at specific times of the year. During Spring Break in 2026, there are one-day camps on March 16th, 19th, 23rd and 26th. The Monday camps are about the St. Roch, while the Thursday camps are about marine life and ecosystems. All camps run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and are intended for ages 7 to 10.

WildPlay Maple Ridge
WildPlay Element Park in Maple Ridge offers its special Anti-Gravity Camps at various times throughout the year. There are single-day camps on Pro-D Days and then during Spring Break there are week-long camps. There are camps in the summer too.
Note: The Maple Ridge location hosts Spring Break camps some years, but not in 2026. This year there are camps during the school holidays only at WildPlay’s Victoria location. Pro D-Day camps and summer camps do happen in Maple Ridge, however, at other times of the year.
In years when they happen, while at WildPlay’s camps, kids get the chance to tackle the park’s collection of adventure courses and jumps. They also go on nature walks and take part in other activities like learning how to identify local plants and wildlife.
If you want to learn more about the outdoor adventure camps, visit the WildPlay Element Park website.
