Fantasy Farms in the Fraser Valley

Located at 9423 Gibsons Road in Chilliwack, Fantasy Farms is a fully operational farm that grows a wide variety of produce. The venue is also home to a number of seasonal events at Easter, autumn, Halloween and Christmas.

Annual events at Fantasy Farms include Petey’s Easter Eggstravaganza, A Night of Illumination, the Stinking Rose Garlic Festival, Petey’s Pumpkin Patch and Reaper’s Maze of Terror.

Famous at the farm and its events are Petey (a pumpkin character) and Farmer Gary. Popular attractions at the venue include the farm animals, miniature train rides and an indoor children’s play area.

Easter at Fantasy Farms

Petey’s Easter Eggstravaganza is an annual, kid-friendly tradition at Fantasy Farms. Fantasy Farms also used to host a holiday-themed night for adults only. The event, called A Night of Illumination, was an Easter-themed egg hunt for those aged 19 and older.

A similar event took place after dark in 2026 and was open to those of all ages. The event is called Glow Nights ran on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between March 27th and April 5th, 2026 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. For more info, click Glow Nights 2026.

Petey’s Easter Eggstravaganza takes place over a few weekends leading up to the Easter Long Weekend. In 2026, the family-friendly event ran on Saturdays and Sundays between March 21st and April 5th. The final day of the season was Easter Monday in 2026.

In addition to egg hunting and train rides, there are bouncy castles, pony rides, animals to pet, and more. Admission in 2026 cost $16 per person, and children under 2 entered for free. Fantasy Farms also offers a family bundle for 2 adults and 2 children for $60. For this event, guests have to buy tickets at the gate on the day of the event.

Family Glow Nights

Glow Nights are family-friendly events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings from March 27th to April 5th in 2026. Hours are from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets for this cost around $18 per guest.

For this series of events, tickets are available online, and admission includes an egg hunt, and lots of cool ultraviolet lights.

Spring and Summer Camps

Life on a farm can be fascinating, and kids can get up close to it by signing up for a spring or summer day camp at Fantasy Farms. The summer camps run from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. They happen just about every week in July and August, only missing the week following the BC Day Long Weekend.

Campers get the chance to help take care of some of the farm’s animals, express themselves creatively, and spend plenty of time exploring the natural world around them.

Each week has its own theme, beginning with Farm Friends from July 6th to 10th, and ending with Carnival Week from August 24th to 28th. The cost for each week is $225.

Stinking Rose Garlic Festival

Fantasy Farms hosts a garlic-themed festival in the fall most years. The 2026 Stinking Rose Garlic Festival is on September 19th and 20th.

The Stinking Rose Garlic Festival includes vendors selling garlic and garlic-themed products. There are food trucks and live music at the event too, along with other family-friendly activities. The 2026 edition also includes SKAtoberfest, which advertises itself as the biggest Oktoberfest in the Fraser Valley.

For an idea of what to expect at the next Stinking Rose Garlic Festival, watch the video below. It was recorded at the 2024 event. The band playing live music is Molten Blues.

Petey’s Pumpkin Patch

Petey’s Pumpkin Patch is an autumn-themed attraction that includes miniature train rides, a corn maze, an outdoor play area and farm animals.

Last year the event started up for the season on Saturday, October 4th, and it continued until the first weekend of November. The family-friendly attraction operates on Thursdays to Sundays. Hours on weekdays are from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Weekend hours are from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. The event will likely happens around the same time in 2026, but with exact details to be confirmed.

Admission is around $14 per person or $50 for a family of four. Pumpkins are also for sale at the event for between around $3 and $25 most years.

While the pumpkin patch event is ideal for young children and their families, there are also ultra-scary things to see and do for older folks during the same month each year at Reaper’s.

The following video was taken in October of 2021. In it you’ll see Fantasy Farm’s miniature train, the family-friendly corn maze and Farmer Gary firing off the corn cannon. You’ll also see the fields of pumpkins and one of the farm animals.

When we were there it was about 4:30 pm, so just before closing (which explains why there weren’t so many people).

As you’ll see in the video, the event takes place on a real farm with a variety of interesting things to see and do.

Reaper’s Haunted Attraction & Maze of Terror

One of the Lower Mainland’s most impressive Halloween-themed places to visit is the Reaper’s Haunted Attraction at Fantasy Farms in October. The venue features a haunted house and “Maze of Terror” that fright seekers travel from all across the region to see.

In 2025 Reaper’s was open on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Hours of operation were from 7:00 pm until between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm depending on the day. Last year the attraction ran from October 4th until November 1st. Reaper’s will likely happen around the same time in 2026, but with exact details to be confirmed.

Reapers Video

To give you an idea of what to expect, check out the following video of the Reapers Maze of Terror. As you’ll see, it’s in a real corn maze and it’s really dark. There are a couple of sort-of indoor areas, and there are lots of live scary monsters!

This video was taken in October of 2021. It shows just a few of the scenes that we saw on our visit. It was pretty cool!
