Fantasy Farms is a farm that grows vegetables. It also hosts special seasonal events at Easter, in early autumn and at Halloween (including both Petey’s Pumpkin Patch and Reapers Maze of Terror).
In 2026 the Chilliwack Garlic Festival happens on the weekend of September 19th and 20th. This year, the first day also features SKAtoberfest, an event that combines Oktoberfest celebrations with live music. The event is a showcase of “German eats and Jamaican beats”!

Stinking Rose Garlic Festival in Chilliwack
The Chilliwack Garlic Festival is an annual event at Fantasy Farms. Now called the Stinking Rose Garlic Festival, the 2026 event celebrates its 12th (non-consecutive) year on the Saturday and Sunday of September 19th and 20th. Bands performing at the SKAtoberfest portion of the event on the Saturday evening in 2026 are WHITEY, Wooden Horsemen, and Go Bragg.
The garlic festival features artisan vendors, live music and the Guerilla Q barbecued food truck. There are farm animals and activities for children too.
(NOTE: Other events at Fantasy Farms in autumn are Petey’s Pumpkin Patch and Reaper’s Maze of Terror. The former is a family-friendly event that runs from October 3rd until October 31st in 2026. The latter, on the other hand, is a scary attraction for older fright seekers that starts a day earlier and also runs at night until Halloween.)

Garlic Festival Details
The annual Stinking Rose Garlic Festival takes place at Fantasy Farms on September 19th and 20th in 2026. The venue’s address is 9423 Gibson Road in Chilliwack.
On the Saturday this year, SKAtoberfest takes place from 6:00 to 10:30 pm. It’s a ticketed event with entertainment by WHITEY, Wooden Horsemen and Go Bragg. German and Jamaican food are available for purchase.
SKAtoberfest tickets also include admission to the main festival which runs from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm the same day. The festival is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday.
During the day the Stinking Rose Garlic Festival offers market vendors, food and drinks, as well as family-friendly activities and music to enjoy. On the Sunday there is also a Garlic Pancake Breakfast.
There are over 20 vendors selling a wide range of garlic-related foods and other products. There are also a number of food trucks and a beer garden, plus a kids corn maze, train rides, bouncy castles and more to explore.

SKAtoberfest Details
SKAtoberfest is the music festival portion of the Stinking Rose Garlic Festival. You can attend just the garlic festival if you want, or both the garlic festival and SKAtoberfest. If you buy tickets to SKAtoberfest, you get complimentary admission to the garlic festival on both days too.
In 2026 SKAtoberfest takes place on Saturday, September 19th, from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
There has always been a music element to the garlic festival on the Saturday. This year, however, it is more formalized with its own slightly separate identity. It also has a new SKA music theme, and, new for 2026, it has a bit of a German Oktoberfest theme too.
The live music takes place outdoors (unless the weather is really bad and they have to move it inside, which is nice to have as an option). Three bands perform after each other. In 2026 they are WHITEY, Wooden Horsemen and Go Bragg.
(NOTE: Related to reggae, which came after it, Ska is a music genre originating from Jamaica in the 1950’s. Ska combines elements of calypso, jazz, and rhythm and blues.)

Garlic Festival & SKAtoberfest Admission Prices
Admission to SKAtoberfest costs about $32 for adults, $26 for seniors and children, and $85 for a family pass (for two adults and two children) in 2026. That price includes a weekend pass to the rest of the Stinking Rose Garlic Festival.
Ticket prices for just the Stinking Rose Garlic Festival are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and children. That includes entry on both days of the festival (but you can’t stay for SKAtoberfest on Saturday). A family of four costs $42 (including two children ages 12 and under).
