White Rock Night Market

A new Metro Vancouver night market, White Rock Night Markets happen once a month from late spring to early fall. It includes food, live music and more.

The market is hosted by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival which hosts a number of great events over the course of the year.

The final market of the season takes place on Friday, September 27th, from 3:00 until around 9:00 pm (but maybe even a bit later). Performing that day are DJ Bruce and the Dave Hartney Duo.

White Rock Night Markets in 2024

The Lower Mainland is home to multiple Night Markets that happen during the warmer months. There’s a newcomer to that list and it’s in White Rock! The White Rock Night Market celebrates its inaugural year in 2024 with five markets.

The market is co-hosted by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival which organizes events all over Metro Vancouver. Other Food Truck Festival events include Langley Community Day in June, Chilliwack Ribfest in July and both Mission Ribfest and Dished Food Truck Fest in August.

The 2024 White Rock Night Market takes place on the last Friday of each month from May to September. The market happens from 3:00 to 10:00 pm on May 31st, June 28th, July 26th and August 30th. On September 27th it closes at 9:00 pm.

Night Market Location

The main hub of the market is at Memorial Plaza near the pier and along the White Rock Promenade. The market is not far from the White Rock Museum and Archives building, located at 14970 Marine Drive. Visitors can go for a nice stroll over the water while enjoying the market.

What to Expect

At the market you can find half a dozen or so food trucks and around 10 to 12 artisan vendors. Products to buy at the market include artwork, candles, pottery, clothing, fresh fruit and more. Some of the trucks and vendors are repeats, and some just come in for one day.

There is also live music at the market each month. At the event in 2024 there is a DJ playing tunes and a band playing at other times as well.

The August 30th event, for example, features DJ BRUCE between 3:00 and 7:00 pm. The Dani Black Band then performs from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, and again from 9:00 to 10:00 pm. Food trucks on site at the August event are Mashiko, Say Cheese, Cravings Kettle Corn, Primos, and The Original Hurricane Potato. Meanwhile, market vendors that day include Bar Down Cookies, Eco Beige, Karma Collective, Sea Drift Decor, Wild and Raven, plus several others.
