MOTHER’S DAY AT THE LOBBY

On May 12th in 2024, The Lobby Restaurant offers a special three-course dinner menu for Mother’s Day. It comes with one starter, one main and one dessert. Options include Haida Gwaii Halibut, Fraser Valley Duck à l’Orange, Stuffed Acorn Squash and more. The dinner costs $64 each and wine pairings are available at an extra cost.

Also on Mother’s Day this year, the restaurant has a fabulous Sunday brunch. It’s one of the best in the region!

Lobby Restaurant at the Pinnacle Hotel

The Lobby Restaurant is a contemporary place to eat on Vancouver’s North Shore. The dining venue serves West Coast favourites with a modern twist. Chefs use local and sustainable ingredients to create elegant and flavourful dishes.

The restaurant also features views of the Shipyards District. Big windows provide a bright interior with plenty of natural light. The Lobby has an indoor bar, an outdoor patio and additional dining areas available for private events. Upstairs is a banquet room where the restaurant hosts amazing buffet brunches on special occasions like Easter and Mother’s Day.

Restaurant Location and Hours

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is located at 138 Victory Ship Way in North Vancouver. It’s at the bottom of Lonsdale Avenue just a five-minute walk from the SeaBus terminal at Lonsdale Quay. As its name suggests, The Lobby Restaurant is in the hotel’s lobby on the ground floor. The building is just north of the Shipyards and waterfront.

As of January, 2024, The Lobby Restaurant is open seven days a week. The dining venue’s daily hours are described as 6:30 am until “late,” so likely until around 10:00 pm or later depending on the day.

The Lobby Restaurant Menus

The Lobby has several different menus. Some are only available at specific times, whereas others are always on offer.

The Breakfast menu is available daily from the time of opening until 11:00 am. Options include steak, lobster, pancakes, breakfast burritos, and more. On weekends, the restaurant also offers a Brunch menu between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. It’s similar to the Breakfast menu, but with other menu items like burgers and salads.

There’s a regular Lunch and Dinner menu to choose from as well until the kitchen closes. Dishes include all sorts of starters, pasta bowls, meats, seafoods and other popular items. For dessert, there are six main options to choose from, including ice cream and a couple of cakes. There is also a selection of coffees and a separate cocktail menu full of beers and wines.

Daily Specials at The Lobby are available with menu items varying day by day. Happy Hour deals run from 2:00 pm until closing on weekdays. They include various drinks and appetizers. On weekends Happy Hour runs until 6:00 pm and starts up again at 9:00 pm.

The Lobby also offers a Three Course Menu. It costs about $56 per person and comes with a starter, entrée and a dessert. For example, one combination is saffron prawns, stuffed chicken breast and cherry cheesecake.

Our Recommendations

The Lobby Restaurant is a classy place. It’s a great venue for a romantic dinner or for a nice evening out with friends.

The last time we ate at the restaurant we had the crispy cauliflower appetizer and fish tacos. Both were excellent. The prawn tacos were especially delicious! We’ll definitely order those again! We also had the Mixed Grill entree which we highly recommend. It includes a mix of sirloin steak, sockeye salmon, tiger prawns, potatoes and grilled vegetables. The Deluxe Seafood Risotto with sautéed lobster, scallops and grilled tiger prawns was also fabulous.

The restaurant features different specials on each day of the week. As of January, 2024, Mondays are Date Night Dinner for Two, Tuesdays are Burger Night, and on Wednesdays you can get 50% off on bottles of wine. On Thursdays its Classic Steak Night featuring 7 oz. sirloin steak frites, 6 oz. filet mignon or more steak options. On Saturdays and Sundays Caesars and Mimosas are $6 between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Sundays are when the restaurant has its Prime Rib Dinners beginning at 5:00 pm.

The Lobby Restaurant is a great place for people staying at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier. It’s also a popular restaurant for locals and anyone who happens to be in the Shipyards District looking for a nice place to eat.
