A modern boutique hotel, the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is near the waterfront in North Vancouver’s vibrant Lower Lonsdale and Shipyards District.
The Pinnacle is arguably the North Shore’s nicest hotel. It definitely has the best south-facing views, especially from its upper floors. It’s also in an exceptional location. We stayed at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier in the summer and had a wonderful stay!

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier
With 106 guestrooms, the Pinnacle Hotel is a good-sized, full-service hotel. It’s located right by the waterfront, so many of its rooms have views of Burrard Inlet and the Vancouver Harbour. The hotel is also pet-friendly, so folks can bring their four-legged friends along on their stays.
The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is part of the Pinnacle Hotel chain. The Vancouver-based company has other hotels in both downtown Vancouver (the Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront) and Whistler (the Pinnacle Hotel Whistler).
Pinnacle Hotel Location
Located in the Lower Lonsdale area of North Vancouver at 138 Victory Ship Way, the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is central to one of the Lower Mainland’s most lively and interesting districts. The hotel is close to the SeaBus – the ferry terminal is just a five-minute stroll away. It’s also within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants in the Shipyards area as well as at Lonsdale Quay.
Both the Polygon Gallery and North Vancouver Shipyards are popular attractions that are right by the hotel. Also close by are the Lonsdale Quay Public Market and MONOVA (a.k.a. the Museum of North Vancouver).
From the hotel and the surrounding boardwalk there is a fantastic view of Burrard Inlet and the Vancouver skyline in the distance. Also right outside the hotel on Friday evenings in the summer is the Shipyards Night Market, and year-round there is Shipbuilders’ Pier which is nice to walk along.

The Pinnacle Hotel has two featured restaurants of its own: The Lobby and Pier 7. Both are excellent! See below for details about each of them.
The Lobby Restaurant
The Lobby serves a medley of BC-inspired food, including seafood and other fresh produce from the region. The restaurant is usually open from 6:30 am until 11:00 pm and can be found right in the hotel’s lobby facing the Shipyards and the ocean.
On the second floor at the Pinnacle is the banquet room. That’s where you’ll find the view of Burrard Inlet as well as private functions and special occasion events (like the hotel’s annual Mother’s Day Brunch in the spring).

Pier 7 Restaurant
The Pier 7 Restaurant can be found at 25 Wallace Mews, right on the waterfront. It features boat-to-table seafood and other fresh produce from BC. Pier 7 is usually open from 11:30 am until late every day. The restaurant also offers a weekend brunch special which starts at around 10:30 am.
While not located in the hotel proper, Pier 7 is still considered one of the hotel’s restaurants (and it’s owned by the same company).

For an idea of what to expect at the Pinnacle at the Pier Hotel, check out the following video. It includes footage from our stay in 2023. As you can see, it’s a modern hotel with fantastic waterfront views. It’s located so close to the Shipyards. The hotel’s indoor pool and other relaxing areas are great, and so is the food at The Lobby Restaurant.
Easter and Mother’s Day Brunches at the Pinnacle Video
The Pinnacle at the Pier puts on some very fancy brunches on special occasions. The biggest and most impressive one of the year is on Mother’s Day. The video below shows what that brunch looked like a couple if years ago. The hotel’s Easter brunch is also really good. Treat your family to one of them if you can! They are exceptional!
In 2024 the Easter brunch cost $69 (and children ages 6 to 12 were half price.) The Mother’s Day brunch buffet, meanwhile, cost $83 for adults (which was the same as the year before). Also in 2024 at the May event, children between the ages of 6 and 12 cost $41 and little kids between the ages of 1 and 5 cost $22.
