Vancouver’s False Creek Farmers Market

False Creek Farmers Market

The False Creek Farmers Market is a new market at Concord Community Park in False Creek. It’s open on Thursdays in the summer between July and October.

A new event since 2021, the False Creek Farmers Market runs weekly in the summer to help support local farmers. The nearby Main Street Farmers Market didn’t happen in 2021, so this new location was a welcome surprise.

The False Creek Farmers Market is a smaller market. It plans to host over two dozen or so vendors each week. Shoppers can expect to see a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, prepared foods and other vendors on site.

Last year, to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, you could have browsed the market’s options online. Folks had the option of pre-ordering items from all the different vendors at the False Creek venue (as well as from a few other participating Vancouver Farmers Markets). After your order was placed, it could be picked up from a safe distance outside the market itself.

When and Where

The False Creek Farmers Market takes place at Concord Community Park. Its address is 50 Pacific Boulevard in the City of Vancouver. This location is just a couple of blocks from where the Main Street Farmers Market usually takes place.

In 2021, the market at the False Creek venue was open every Thursday from June 3rd until October 7th. Hours of operation were from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.

In 2022, the market takes place every Thursday from July 14th until October 6th. Hours of operation are from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.

While in the area, we recommend taking a leisurely walk or cycle along the False Creek Seawall. It’s one of the best places to explore in Metro Vancouver. Science World is a short walk away from the market too and always makes for a fun visit. Right in Concord Community Park itself, there is a beach volleyball court and ping pong tables for people to use.
