Farmers markets take place on Thursdays in New Westminster and Vancouver at False Creek. At them you can find all kinds of fresh produce and artisan products.
There also used to be a Downtown Vancouver Farmers Market and one on Granville Island on Thursdays too. The downtown one now takes place on Wednesdays, however, and the one on Granville Island hasn’t happened for a number of years.
Vancouver Farmers Markets on Thursdays
Looking for a great way to buy fresh produce and support local farmers? Then take your shopping bags and check out the following markets.
New West Farmers Market
The New West Farmers Market is a fair-sized market, with up to 50 vendors on a busy day. In the summer it can be found at Tipperary Park at the corner of Royal Avenue and Fourth Street (or 315 Queens Avenue) in New Westminster between 3:00 and 7:00 pm.
In 2026 the New West Farmers Market runs March 26th until October 29th.
In addition to the summer farmers market, there is also the New West Holiday Market run by the same organization in December.
Port Coquitlam Farmers Market
The Port Coquitlam Farmers Market offers lots of fresh produce. There are also artisan goods on sale most of the time. The market is held at Leigh Square Park, which is right beside the Poco Heritage Museum at 2253 Leigh Square in Port Coquitlam.
The market runs from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursdays from June 4th until September 24th, 2026.
For the latest information visit the Farmers and More website.
False Creek Farmers Market
The False Creek Farmers Market runs in Olympic Village Square every Thursday from May until late October.
It’s not one of the largest markets, as there are around a couple dozen vendors. However, the False Creek Market is a great place to get fresh fruits and other produce as well as more pre-prepared meals.
In 2026 the market is open from 3:00 to 7:00 pm every Thursday from May 14th to October 29th.
Note: Market details are subject to change. To avoid disappointment, check each market’s website for exact times, dates and locations.
