Summer night Markets on Friday nights include the Richmond Night Market, North Vancouver’s Shipyards Night Market, the White Rock Night Market and New Westminster’s Fridays on Front.
The Richmond Night Market is famous for its food stalls and vendors selling imported goods from Asia. It has been happening on weekends since the turn of the millennium. The Shipyards Night Market, is an amazing event that includes food trucks, concerts, artisan vendors and a beer garden.
The Fort Langley Night Market in Fort Langley and the Mercato Italian Market in Vancouver also used to happen on Fridays, but not anymore.
Friday Markets in Metro Vancouver
Most Lower Mainland farmers markets take place on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Richmond Night Market and Shipyards Night Market aren’t farmers markets, but they are markets, and they are good ones.
Shipyards Night Market
The Shipyards Night Market is a weekly event at Shipbuilders’ Square, located at 19 Wallace Mews in North Vancouver.
There are all sorts of vendors at the event selling fairly upscale items. However, the event is much more than just a market. It also features food trucks and a beer garden with local brews. In addition to all of the products, food and drinks, there’s also a stage with live music to enjoy each evening.
2026 marks the 13th anniversary of the Shipyards Night Market. This year, it runs on Fridays from May 15th until September 11th. Hours are from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
White Rock Night Market
The White Rock Night Market is a relatively new event that takes place one Friday a month from May to September. It happens along the promenade, right next to the famous White Rock pier. It is one of many events hosted by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival. One can’t ask for a better setting to enjoy your market purchases at sunset.
In 2026 the White Rock Night Market takes place on May 1st, June 5th, July 17th, August 7th and September 4th. The hours are 3:00 to 10:00 pm. It’s an awesome market and an incredible venue! Highly recommended! Admission is free!

Richmond Night Market
The Richmond Night Market is huge and very interesting. The market’s address is 8351 River Road. It’s not a farmers’ market. It’s an Asian night market.
At the Richmond market, instead of rows of stalls selling fresh produce, homemade jams and handmade jewellery, expect tasty Asian smells, Asian music and stuff made overseas. There are usually hundreds of vendors and thousands of people at the market.
In 2026 the Richmond Night Market is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between April 24th and September 20th. The hours are typically 7:00 to 11:00 pm, but extends until midnight on weekends where Monday is a holiday.
General admission costs $7 for most people. Children below the age of 7 and seniors ages 60 and above enter for free.
Fridays on Front Night Market
The Fridays on Front Night Market is an artisan night market in lower New Westminster. It boasts itself not only as a market, but also a block party, with music and free activities to enjoy. It typically happens three Fridays a month in July and August of each year.
Fort Langley Night Market
The Fort Langley Night Market had its last market in 2024. It didn’t return in 2025 and it appears to be on hold again in 2026.
When it happened, the market was held at 9166 Glover Road in Fort Langley. It took place from 5:00 to 10:00 pm on Friday nights throughout the summer. Admission was free.
The event didn’t only feature market vendors selling fresh produce. It was also a good place to eat, drink and relax with friends and family outdoors. There was often live music for all to enjoy, as well as small activities for children.
In 2024 the Fort Langley Night Market featured dozens of vendors every Friday from June 28th until September 27th. Let’s hope it comes back again in another year.
