The Coquitlam Food Truck Festival is an annual event that features a couple of dozen food vendors and an artisan market at Town Centre Park.
It’s one of many similar events put on by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival each year. The event in 2024 takes the form of a “Community Fest” on the weekend of April 27th and 28th.

Food Truck Festival at Town Centre Park
The Coquitlam Community Fest is a great event at a beautiful venue. There is live music and a wide selection of food to choose from, along with an artisan market and arts and crafts activities. At the park there is also a fabulous kids’ play area and a beautiful walking trail around Lafarge Lake.
When and Where
In 2024 the Coquitlam Community Fest takes place on the weekend of April 27th and 28th. On the Saturday, it runs from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. Hours on the Sunday are from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.
The event happens at Coquitlam‘s Town Centre Park which is located at 1299 Pinetree Way. The trucks usually set up in the parking lot just off Trevor Wingrove Way which is between Lafarge Lake and Percy Perry Stadium.

Similar food truck events in 2024 happen at the following places:
- Chilliwack – on May 4th and 5th
- Burnaby – May 11th and 12th
In addition to the above, there’s also Chilliwack Ribfest on July 26th to 28th.
What to Expect
At the Coquitlam Block Party you can expect to see 20 or more food truck vendors, several artisan vendors and a musician or band playing live music. On a sunny day you can also expect to see several hundred people, all munching on various tasty treats.
In 2023, some of the food truck vendors included Shameless Buns, Fusion Icy, Reel Mac and Cheese and It’s All About Grill. Other favourites included G’s Donairs, Kyu Grill and The Brownie Bakers. Artisan vendors at the event typically sell everything from jewellery to handmade chocolates, soaps, cookies and other fancy items. 2024 food trucks and vendors are to be confirmed.
Tips & Advice
Below are some suggestions to help you make the most of your visit to the Coquitlam Food Truck Festival.
TIP #1: Take public transit if you can. The Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain Station is just a short walk away.
TIP #2: Town Centre Park is a beautiful park with a wide range of amenities. If you have young children don’t forget to spend time at the playground and water park. Lafarge Lake is also a wonderful spot to walk around.
