In mid to late March, Vancouver’s Cypress Mountain hosts Brewski Fest where ski ticket holders can sample free beer while enjoying their time on the mountain.
In 2026 Brewski Fest takes place on Saturday, March 14th. There was also a July event last year, though whether it happens again in the summer is yet to be confirmed.

Brewski Fest at Cypress Mountain 2026
Brewski Fest takes place on a weekend in March on the Crazy Raven Patio at Cypress Mountain. In 2026, Brewski Fest is a one-day event taking place on Sunday, March 14th. Last year, the event ran over two days, but that’s not the case this time.
Admission used to be free for everyone, but that’s no longer the case. Tickets in 2026 cost $10 per person over age 19. The event takes place between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm.
Although it’s not free, it’s still a great deal. All attendees receive a sample glass, six tasters and the chance to win a Silver Season Pass for the 2026/27 ski season. Additional tastings cost extra.
What Happens at Brewski Fest?
At the event, around six craft breweries usually set up booths and offer four-ounce samples of their beers. Guests are given a stamp card and can then choose from different beverages at various vendors. There’s also music to enjoy by local DJs.
Participating breweries in recent years have included Stanley Park Brewery, Central City Brewers (from Surrey), Goose Island (from the United States), Hearthstone (from North Vancouver), Bridge Brewery (from North Vancouver), Granville Island Brewing and Foamers’ Folly (from Pitt Meadows).
Beverages available for sampling often include pale ales, lagers, pilsners, IPAs, winter ales and a variety of other speciality craft brews. For people who don’t like beer, there is also usually some kind of cider.
Other Cypress Events
Cypress Mountain hosts a number of events during the ski season, most years. Examples include Family Day Fireworks over the Family Day weekend in February and Family Nights with discounted pizza on most Fridays.
Brewski Fest, however, is pretty special. Cypress Mountain is a great place to ski even without the beer, so Brewski Fest just makes it that much more perfect.
There’s just nothing like spring skiing after a few beer samples! Just remember to drink responsibly and don’t drink and drive (or ski too much after).
