Family Day Weekend at Cypress
In 2024 Family Day is on Monday, February 19th. It’s a statutory holiday and all sorts of family-friendly activities take place throughout the weekend across the Lower Mainland.
Over the Family Day long weekend, some (but not all) ski hills in the region usually offer some kind of special deal, including free or discounted ski and other snow sport passes.
Cypress Mountain has offered ticket discounts on the Family Day long weekend for children in the past, but at the time of writing this, it wasn’t clear if the resort would be doing the same in 2024.
Cypress Family Day Deal
In previous years, Cypress Mountain offered an assortment of special family-friendly activities as well as discounted passes for children on the Family Day long weekend.
Skiing, snowshoeing and tubing tickets at Cypress were 50% off for children on the Friday evening and all day on the Saturday, Sunday and holiday Monday of the February long weekend. Unfortunately, this has not been the case since 2019.
In 2024, there are still special activities for all ages over the long weekend. There are fireworks on the Sunday night, as well as live entertainment, games and more on all three days.
Family Day Weekend Schedule
Below is the event schedule for the Family Day long weekend at Cypress Mountain in 2024. The Tube Park has a special theme on the Saturday and Monday. In addition to the listed activities, all three days also include treats, games and food and drink specials.
Saturday, February 17th, 2024
The Tube Park’s theme for today is Aloha Wear.
- 12:00 to 3:00 pm – Jada Mackenzie Moore performs on the Patio.
- 12:00 to 4:30 pm – Face painting and balloon art at the Tube Park and Patio.
- 4:00 to 7:00 pm – DJ JAEMO plays music on the Patio.
Sunday, February 18th, 2024
- 9:30 to 11:00 am – Pancake breakfast at Hollyburn Lodge.
- 12:00 to 3:00 pm – Emmett Jerome performs on the Patio.
- 12:00 to 4:30 pm – Face painting and balloon art at the Tube Park and Patio.
- 4:00 to 7:00 pm – DJ Matt Shepherd plays music on the Patio.
- 6:00 pm – Fireworks display.
Monday, February 19th, 2024
Everyone is encouraged to dress up as their favourite cartoon characters today.
- 12:00 to 3:00 pm – Michael Fabro performs on the Patio.
- 12:00 to 4:30 pm – Face painting and balloon art at the Tube Park and Patio.
- 4:00 to 7:00 pm – Blackberry Wood performs on the Patio.
