Vancouver’s Go by Bike Week
Go by Bike Week takes place in Vancouver twice a year. The event used to be called Bike to Work Week.
During this event, people are encouraged to ride their bikes instead of driving, and to log their rides online. HUB Cycling hosts Go by Bike Week in Vancouver.
People can register for Go by Bike Week as individuals or as a team. Past registrants, however, don’t need to re-register every time. They can just log in to their previous account and record a new trip.
Whether you register as an individual or as part of a team, you’ll be eligible for prizes. In the spring of 2026, the top prize was an e-bike from Pedego. There are also other gifts people can win like gift cards, biking gear and a bike tune-up package at Velo Star Cafe.
All bike trips count – commutes, errands, or rides just for fun – and the more trips you log, the more prize draws you qualify for!
Participants can access “Celebration Stations” set up across Metro Vancouver. There are typically about two dozen stations offering bike maintenance, snacks, and giveaways.
