The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival hosts various food truck-related events including Food Truck Fest at BCIT which takes place in May 2024.
The Burnaby event happened at BCIT in April last year, but it was called the “Burnaby Block Party” then. It returns as “Food Truck Fest at BCIT” on the Mother’s Day Weekend of May 11th and 12th in 2024.

Burnaby Food Truck Fest at BCIT in 2024
The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is a series of events in the Lower Mainland. The series includes the Food Truck Fest at BCIT in May.
The Food Truck Fest is an outdoor event for all ages. It features food trucks, live entertainment, an artisan market and other family-friendly activities. It’s completely free to attend.
At the event are over 20 food trucks and lots of people enjoying a wide variety of tasty cuisine. There are all kinds of food to enjoy, including several vegan and vegetarian options. The event happens rain or shine. There is also an artisan market on site with vendors selling gifts for Mother’s Day.

When and Where?
The Food Truck Fest at BCIT runs on the weekend of May 11th and 12th (the second of which is also Mother’s Day). Hours on the Saturday are from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, while hours on the Sunday are from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.
The event takes place at the BCIT campus at 3700 Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby. The activities happen in the large parking lot at the corner of Willingdon Avenue and Canada Way.

Food Trucks and Market Vendors
The 2023 event featured about two dozen food trucks. There were all sorts of snacks, desserts and main dishes to try, including everything from mini donuts and ice cream to tacos and pizza. There were also 18 or so different market vendors at the event selling baked goods, soaps, candles, products for pets, and much more. The 2024 event will likely be similar, although exact details are to be confirmed.
