The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival hosts various food truck-related events including Food Truck Fest at BCIT which took place in May 2024.

The Burnaby event happened at BCIT in April last year, but it was called the “Burnaby Block Party” then. It returned as “Food Truck Fest at BCIT” on the Mother’s Day Weekend of May 11th and 12th in 2024.

The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is a series of events in the Lower Mainland. The series includes the Food Truck Fest at BCIT in May.

The Food Truck Fest is an outdoor event for all ages. It features food trucks, an artisan market and other family-friendly activities. There are also performances by Jada Leroux, Barry Wilson, Ranj Singh and Luc Lemans throughout the weekend. It’s free to attend.

The event features over 20 food trucks and lots of people enjoying a wide variety of tasty cuisine. There are all kinds of food to enjoy, including several vegan and vegetarian options. The event happens rain or shine. There is also an artisan market on-site with vendors selling gifts for Mother’s Day this year.

When and Where?

The Food Truck Fest at BCIT ran on the weekend of May 11th and 12th (the second of which was also Mother’s Day) in 2024. Hours on the Saturday were from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, while hours on the Sunday were from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.

The event takes place at the BCIT campus at 3700 Willingdon Avenue in Burnaby. The activities happen in the large parking lot at the corner of Willingdon Avenue and Canada Way.

Food Trucks and Market Vendors

The 2024 event featured about 24 food trucks. There are all sorts of snacks, desserts and main dishes to try, including everything from mini donuts and ice cream to tacos and donairs. There are also more than 10 different market vendors at the event selling baked goods, soaps, candles, and much more.
