The Richmond Fusion Food Festival was a family-friendly event that was free to attend. It featured market vendors, live entertainment and over 20 food trucks.
The event used to be called the Richmond Community Block Party before changing its name in 2023. The Richmond Fusion Food Festival didn’t happen last year. It’s not happening in 2025 either. Whether or not the event will return in the future is unknown.
The festival was one of many similar events run by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival. There are still plenty of fun food truck events happening in 2025, just not in Richmond.
Ones that are happening this year include Food Truck Fest at UBC (April 3rd and 4th), the Cloverdale Food Truck Wars (April 11th to 13th), Chilliwack Party in the Park (April 26th and 27th) and Chilliwack Ribfest (July 25th to 27th).
The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is also part of a number of other events, including the White Rock Night Market (once a month from May to September), Langley Community Day (June 14th) and Canada Day celebrations in multiple cities.
For full details about all those events see the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival‘s website.
Richmond Food Truck Festival and Party
The Richmond Fusion Food Festival was one of the fun and tasty events presented by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival. The organization hosts parties in different locations across the Lower Mainland in the spring and summer. In 2022, the event made its way to Richmond for three days at the end of April and beginning of May. The 2023 edition took place in August.
There were several things to do at the food festival. The events featured 14 or more food trucks on site on each of its three days in 2023. There was also a market with a carefully selected lineup of local vendors. Guests could shop comfortably knowing that all purchases at the event supported small local businesses.
Another highlight of the event was always the live entertainment. Performances at the block parties helped provide a lively atmosphere.
When and Where
In 2023 the Richmond Fusion Food Festival happened on April 11th, April 12th and 13th. On the Friday the event ran from 4:00 until 9:00 pm. However, the event ran for longer hours on the weekend. Festivities started at noon and lasted until 8:00 pm on the Saturday. On the Sunday the event ran from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm.
The festival took place at Lansdowne Centre. The shopping mall is located at 5300 No. 3 Road in Richmond.
Admission
Similar to other Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival events taking place this summer, entry to the Richmond Fusion Food Festival was free. You paid for whatever foods and drinks you wanted, but access to the venue and live entertainment were both free.
You could still reserve a ticket on the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival website, and the organization prefers that people do so for their events they have more of an accurate estimate of how many attendees there will be.
