The Abbotsford Summer Flower Festival is a 45-acre display at Lakeland Flowers. The Fraser Valley attraction features millions of blooms to walk through.
From late July until early September, it’s usually sunflower season at the farm. However, this likely won’t be the case in 2025. This year, there’s only three months of flowers between April and June.
Abbotsford Summer Flower Festival
The Abbotsford Summer Flower Festival debuted in the warm months of 2023. It takes place at Lakeland Flowers, which is the same farm that hosts the Abbotsford Tulip Festival in the spring. The Tulip Festival happens from April 5th to May 11th in 2025. The place offers months of different displays after the tulips, with the Abbotsford Summer Flower Festival running from mid-May until late June.
The Abbotsford Summer Flower Festival claims to be the largest summer flower display in the Lower Mainland. It features 100 acres of flowers over the course of its 3-month season. There’s an impressive variety of blooms to explore, including lavender, peonies and meadow flowers when in season. The festival is where you’ll see endless fields of colourful flowers each year. You also get to cut and take flowers home with you!
Location and Hours
The second Abbotsford Summer Flower Festival started up on Saturday, May 18th. It ran until sometime in September. The 2025 edition, however, will likely only run until the end of June. Exact dates and hours are to be confirmed.
Lakeland Flowers is located at 3663 Marion Road in Abbotsford. Free parking is available on-site. There is also an overflow parking lot, so there’s plenty of space.
Admission Prices
Prices to visit the fields in the summer of 2024 depended on how many flower stems you wished to purchase. Each stem was $3 (plus tax) and entry to the festival was included with the purchase of at least one stem. That was for peony season, so things might have changed later in the summer.
There was a drone fee of $10 last year for anyone who wished to fly a small drone over the flowers to take videos and pictures.
Abbotsford Tulip Festival
Lakeland Flowers is where you’ll find the Abbotsford Tulip Festival in spring. In 2025 it opens around April 5th and runs until May 11th. The spring festival features more than 100 different types of tulips on a 35-acre property. There are also food trucks and live music to enjoy on select nights.
