Chilliwack Coast Hotel

The Coast Chilliwack Hotel is a 3-star, eco-certified hotel in downtown Chilliwack. It’s a nice place that’s both centrally located and pet-friendly.

We stayed at the hotel in August of 2023 and had a lovely time. We especially liked the outdoor patio overlooking the pond at Salish Park. We also appreciated the fact that the hotel was right in the heart of downtown. We were in the area to cover some events and we could walk to them no problem. Our south-facing room also had a nice view of the surrounding area. We can definitely recommend the hotel to people wanting to stay the night in Chilliwack, as a tourist or for business.

Coast Hotel in Chilliwack

The Coast Hotel is one of the top hotels in Chilliwack. Its location, amenities and dining facilities make it a good option to stay at on a trip or a staycation.

Many of the rooms offer nice views of the surrounding landscape, especially those facing south and southwest. The Coast Hotel is also eco-certified which means that the way it operates is environmentally-friendly. As a carbon-neutral organization ourselves, we like that, and the fact that the hotel has electric vehicle-charging stations. Pets are also welcome at the hotel. Next time we might take our dog.

The hotel’s restaurant, Preston’s, is very nice (especially in the summer when you can sit outside on the patio).

Dining at the Coast Chilliwack Hotel

The primary dining option for hotel residents is Prestons Restaurant + Lounge. As of the last time we checked, Prestons was open for its breakfast buffet from 6:30 to 11:00 am and again for dinner hours from 4:00 to 10:00 pm. We ate both breakfast and dinner there and both were very good and reasonably priced.

The restaurant offers garden-to-plate options with vegetables and herbs grown directly outside the building. All ingredients come from local farmers.

From Sunday to Tuesday there are special BBQ nights from 5:00 to 9:45 pm with a dinner buffet of burgers, ribs, steak and more (including vegetarian or vegan options). On Thursday nights there is live music from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.

When we ate at Prestons we tried a few items on their menu including the curry chicken, crab cakes, steak bites, grilled calamari, a salad, a pavola dessert, and the breakfast buffet. All the food was delicious, as were our cocktails. For the restaurant’s website, visit prestonschilliwack.ca.
